She issues an apology to her fans through her official website.
Earlier this week, we told you about the photo that leaked of Miley Cyrus making a gesture that offended many Asians. But, in a statement on her website, she swears she meant no harm by it.
"I've also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I'm sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!"
Miley Cyrus says on her official site. "In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity!"
"I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new 'BAD GIRL!' " Cyrus writes. "I feel like now that Britney [Spears] is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me!"
"In NO WAY do I want to disappoint any of you!" she says. "But, when I have made mistakes in the past, I feel like I've owned up to them and apologized."

I agree with jw-give her a break!! We all did stuff like that when we were kids and it wasn’t meant to offend people. Let the girl have some fun with her friends without dissecting everything she does!!
Way to go jw and ashley. I showed the video to 8 year old and all she said was why don’t they leave her alone she just 16 and having fun. Man does everything we say and do these day have to be examized to see if it’s p.c.
