Nadya Suleman opened up to Dr. Phil and said that implanting more embryos was a "mistake." At last!

Nadya Suleman, Dr. Phil

On the Dr. Phil show, octomom Nadya Suleman finally admitted that having eight more children when she could barely take care of the six she already had may not have been the best idea. "In hindsight, I don't know what I was thinking," she says.

But Nadya tried to convince Dr. Phil and America that she has a plan for her babies once they come home. "The plan is definitely underway," she says, adding that she intends to live on her student loans.

She also says she will rely on volunteers to help her take care of the babies.

I think that everyone is so quick to pass judgement on this woman, WHO CARES? Our country pays so much as it is for illegal immagrants and other US citizens on welfare, what does it really matter to all of you? I think all the people condemning this women need to take a look at what is wrong and missing in their own lives and start there. what does it say in the bible, “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”

she is a nutcase! there is no way that she is going to be able to take care of these children. after a while the funds are going to run out. and after a while people that are helping now wont help her. then what is she going to do? be homeless with 14 kids? i really feel sorry for those kids.

Danielle February 27, 2009, 3:17 PM

I just cant believe how rude all these comments are, were is the humanity in us people ???

Sue from Buffalo February 27, 2009, 3:17 PM

Undergoing invitro fertilization was a mistake. Going back and rescuing her frozen embryos was the one thing she did that was NOT a mistake. We need to help support these children. Not through taxes but through charitable contributions. It is not their fault that it was done this way and not with an intact family.

Rose February 27, 2009, 3:18 PM

Okay, how about the obvious. She already had 6 kids, has 8 more. Why? First of all she knew it would make headlines, she knew people would say “think of the kids, regardless of what she did”, she filed false insurance claims, how can someone with a bad back carry 8 kids, she had plastic surgery to look like Angelina Jolie, lied to her Mom saying she had a tumor, Mom and Dad are broke from caring for her kids and are foreclosing on their home. This woman needs to be put away, her kids need to be taken away, maybe AJ and Brad will adopt them.
It is all sick, sick, sick

Nuts to you and her she should be put away. And babys taken awaw

Danielle says, “Nobody said anything about any other multiple births, we thought it was cool and crazy, but because the others had husbands with part time jobs….”

Those others didn’t already have six other children in a 3 bedroom house living in squalor. They weren’t getting assistance, then having unnecesssary plastic surgery.

It’s child abuse- plain and simple. Protective services should take away the children. How can they possibly be in an environment that doesn’t endanger them in some way? Her poor parents- how horrible for them. They must feel responsible and are sucked in to this. She’s nutty as a fruitcake and people are defending her. It’s unbelievable.

Living on student loans and not attending school. This is unlaw and outragious.

Christina February 27, 2009, 3:22 PM

Funny how she didnt get the reception she wanted from the public. You reap what you sow, with that let her raise her children by herself, provide for them by herself, she knew what she was doing, she knew the cost, financially and emotionally. This is what she chose, let her handle it all by herself, its what she wanted. Maybe TLC shouldnt glamourize using fertility drugs to have multiple children, then expect to buy million dollar homes, get free vacations, go on talk shows, everything handed to you… maybe if it would show how the struggle is without making them rich, perhaps this woman wouldnt have tried for multiple births.

This lady is a whack job. Knowingly bringing 8 children into the world with NO JOB, NO SOURCE OF INCOME is just plain stupid. She knew what she was doing and I don’t think it should be OUR PROBLEM to even help her out. If I got myself into financial trouble and purposely put myself in that situation, I’m not going to ask for money from random people!!! You just don’t do that. You made a mistake now deal with it!! It’s no ones problem but her own! I swear if I saw her on the street i’d punch her in her baby maker.

Aren’t student loans paid to the school in order to prevent this kind of misuse?

Tonnya February 27, 2009, 3:24 PM

The other families with multiples, had jobs. did this because they wanted children, not fame. They never asked anyone to volunteer to help support and take care of thier kids. She flat out thinks that because she is stupid and has 14 kids we are going to run right out and help her??? Lets help the homeless men, women and children in america out first. Oh but no one ever sees them so they dont exist right?? People it is our obligation as a country to help those that need help. She has a place to live. She has food in her mouth and her children are being feed, clothed and have shelter not by her but her parents. She needs to be made an example of, this is not something you can do and expect everyone else to fix it.

I’m wandering how in the heck this woman who has 6 other kids “NO JOB”, and getting food stamps, was even allowed to have another implantation of embroyos especially another 6 alleged embroyos. Something is wrong with the welfare system of California when this is “allowed”. So when is Arnold Schwartznegger going to chime and get a law set up that women with children already that are getting welfare are not allowed to have additional children but IV fertilization.

I really feel sorry for all of you and your negative comments. There will come a day when you will wish you would have been more compassionate to others.

Linda February 27, 2009, 3:25 PM

She is so full of it. She has a plan and it will work. People feel sorry for the babies as do I and therefore she will get her new home, caretakers, money to support the kids and go back to school. I bet she has been planning this for quite some time. I will not give money but those babies are due to come home in 3 weeks and she no place for them and she does not even have one crib as of yet. She will get what she wants….

Dawna February 27, 2009, 3:27 PM

I agree with Barb Wenger. She says that we need to offer forgiveness. At the time 1 more didn’t seem like a bad idea. She ended up with 8 more. There is a reason for everything and if god did not think she could handle it he would have not let all 6 embryos make it. The babies need the help… who cares about her.

memom February 27, 2009, 3:29 PM

is it legal to take student loans and not use them for school? seems like there is some fraud involved.
also, she lives and depends on her mother, who should walk away and get a life of her own. how selfish is this woman to expect her mother to be her slave for the rest of her life?? before the hospital lets her take those babies home, she should be required to have psychological testing, before family services has to make repeated visits to that home-and who pays for that? we do. and her food stamps, and her hospital bills, and her unpaid loans. she is a perfect example of why this country is suffering so badly economically. what makes her think she has the right to put this burden on everyone else???

Bluez February 27, 2009, 3:29 PM

We’re paying for this “mistake”. The doctor that implanted her should be made pay until the children reach 21 or get employment. This error in judgement should NOT be passed off to the taxapayers. Ethics apply here. Any doctor that doesn’t take ability to raise and support subsequent children should lose their licenses. The entire situation is irrisponsible. Yo … your taxes at work (uh, duh).

jet February 27, 2009, 3:31 PM

The forgiveness that Christians should display is in kindness, not in money. Yes she made her mistakes and the babies are here, but this woman KNOWINGLY, DELIBERATELY brough children into this world that she knew she could not provide for. And now she seems to think that we all should come together and fill the hand that she has been holding out? The issue is not that she is a single mom. The issue is that she does not have a job and doesn’t plan to get one. She wants to sit on her butt at home and rely on tax payers and donations to provide for herself and her 14 kids. I think we all would have a different feeling towards the situation if she was at least trying to do something for herself instead of waiting for everything to be brought to her on a platter.
