Octuplets Mom Released, Will Talk to Ann Curry

33-year-old Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to octuplets last week slipped past waiting media and was discharged early this morning from a local California hospital.

According to the hospital, all eight babies -- six boys and two girls -- will likely remain in the NICU for several more weeks.
Because she eluded media, it wasn't clear if Suleman went directly to her parents' small home or another destination.
For her much anticipated first interview, her publicist announced today that Suleman has chosen decided to tell her story exclusively to NBC news anchor Ann Curry, although they didn't say when.
In the meantime, doctors say all babies are doing well. They are breathing roon air on their own and are tube-fed with donated breast milk and a nutritional supplement.
The eight babies, born January 26 by Caesarian section, are about 9-1/2
weeks premature.
The birth has sparked a wave of criticism from some medical experts, including ml's own Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz, and others who questioned why Suleman, an unmarried mother to six other children, would undergo a fertility treatment to have even more children. She now has 10 boys and four girls.
Joann Killeen, Suleman's spokeswoman, told momlogic she's fed
up with people jumping to conclusions about her client. "They don't know the situation. They don't know her, yet they feel the right to criticize."
Will you watch the interview with the octuplets' mom?

Irma, I agree. Why didn’t she just become a foster parent or adopt, or like her mother said, become a kindergarten teacher? I don’t think this woman deserves a medal and noteriety.
I plan on watching this interview. I would really like to know why anyone who already has 6 children would consider bringing another 8 children into this world that is already over populated. Considering the current economy who in there right mind would even consider this choice?
i’m so disappointed in ann curry and NBC-i can’t believe that woman will be “selling” her story on NBC…it’s really gone downhill since Katie Couric left…
You can bet the farm that there will be no questions about the idea of having 14 children or how she managed while being paid by the State of California for a back injury which was made worse by the pregnancy.
WE’RE PAYING FOR THIS INSANITY!!!
Nadya Suleman is a single 33 year old unemployed woman with six fatherless children (one of whom has autism) who lives with her bankrupt parents and intentionally had 8 more children. Who’s going to pay for these 14 children? The bankrupt grandparents???
Though public records show that Nadya Suleman was on the payroll at Metropolitan State Hospital until last year, it appears that she did little work (if any) after September 1999 due to a workman’s compensation injury (back injury and psychiatric condition) in which she’s received up to $165,000 in compensation. She filed an additional claim for worker’s compensation for a separate car accident in which she argued that this car accident wouldn’t have occurred had she not been going for medical treatment for the earlier worker’s comp. injury.
Given her “history”, I’m sure she knows full well how to fund her large family and her stupid decisions

I think it is interesting, of course, I don’t plan to see the interview, but I don’t know why so much controversy if none of us is going to support that family o watch over the well being of those children, everything is on that woman’s responsibility and she is looking the way to make money for her 14 children, I think it is better to take care of your own children than paying to much attention to others.
I believe that that babies are a gift from God and that she should feel blessed. Sure she had them implanted, but God creates babies and decides their life line. Under all of the circumstances, I am happy for this woman. I have no right to judge somebody I don’t even know. All we know if what the media tells us.
don’t forget, God gives us free will, which means many of us will make wrong selfish decisions. this is one of those examples.

This is one interview I won,t be watching. And one person I won,t give the time of day to.The ones I feel sorry for are the children.
