From my boyfriend when I was in 8th grade: a Smurf doll & t-shirt w red sleeves that said: I’m his because he deserves the finest!” He bought a matching one for himself.
From boyfriend (became my husband years later) when I was 17: Carebears. He also bought me a couple for my 17th birthday. I saw him walking up my drive way with them and thought “Oh, no!” In his defense, hel did send me 1/2 doz. roses to our highschool when I was a freshman, 1 doz the following year, and 2 dozen the next year.
