Student Injured on Bus as Friend Shows off Gun

A North Carolina middle school student is recovering after being shot in the leg while a friend was showing him a handgun.

According to a school district spokesman, the boy was shot by a .22-caliber bullet. The student was taken from the hospital and is in good condition.

The student apparently found the gun at home and brought it to school in his book bag. He was showing off the gun to his friend when it discharged.

No charges have been filed at this time.

This is why you need to keep guns and ammo locked up!!!! Also, if your going to keep a gun in the house, make sure your kids respect it and know what it can do.
