A teen role model flew into a rage over a weekend ... but he's unfortunately not the first celeb who's gotten violent.

When we heard about Radio Disney sensation Chris Brown, 19, allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna, we were shocked ... then used it as a teachable moment. But it turns out he's not the first celeb to display such a bad and destructive temper.

Are Chris Brown or Rihanna mothers? If I want to read about this crap, I will go to TMZ… This is supposed to be MOMlogic… What does this lil tidbit about celebrities have to do with me being a mom?

Sarah: I understand that this is a Mom site and I agree with you that sometimes there are subjects on here that I just don’t understand why but in this case I actually used what happened between these two people to talk to my 13 yr old son (whose is into hiphop) and my 9 yr old daughter to explain again that a man should never abuse a women and if it ever happens you should end the relationship right away. Actually this goes both ways - no one should ever abuse anyone male or female. Sometimes situations like this makes it easier to talk with your children. The sad fact is that even if we don’t like to expose them to all the ugliest in the world, the world will expose itself anyway.
