Facebook Divorce -- Talk About Tacky!

One unhappy husband asks for a divorce -- on the popular social networking site.

Facebook Divorce

Emma Brady got the surprise of her life when she logged onto Facebook one morning and discovered her husband had changed his "Relationship Status" to the following to "Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady. WTF?!?

Emma, a 35-year-old conference organizer, says she had no clue her husband, 39, was so unhappy he'd want to end their marriage and was rattled by the phone calls of support she began receiving.

To add insult to injury? Someone had commented on her husband's page that he was "better off out of it."

Emma spoke to the Daily Mail about feeling hurt and embarrassment that the end of her marriage had been plastered across Facebook before her husband had even informed her.

She says she was flooded with phone calls at work from concerned friends who were making sure she was doing all right.

"I have had people who I haven't spoken to for years contacting me asking what is going on," she says.

"I only joined Facebook because the girls at work said it was good fun," Emma said. "What upset me the most was not the fact that Neil had written he had ended his marriage, but the comment from a girl in Canada who said: 'You are better off out of it.' It hurt me that he had been speaking to someone else about it."

Emma says she waited until she got home before confronting him. "I asked Neil if he had anything to tell me and he simply said no," she said. "He acted like everything was fine so we carried on as normal."

The couple, who had been married for six years had been having problems, in fact Neil was brought to court recently for assaulting his wife.

Neil claimed his wife had been seen with another man and in the argument that ensued after his discovery he threw her out of the house, injuring her wrist, and locked her in the back garden.

Brady, who has pled guilty to the charges, is now living with his mother and insists he had talked to his wife about separation. "I'd had enough of her," he says.

We don't know about you, but we could never have "carried on like things were normal" if we were Emma. Is she in denial about her marriage? And how tacky is it to announce your divorce online before you've informed your spouse?

certainly like your website but you have to check the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to tell the truth nevertheless I’ll definitely come back again.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
