A new study says your face is like an open book.
If your guy doesn't believe it if you grumble, "I'm fine" when you're steaming mad, there's good reason: Women's faces are easy to read.
A new study conducted at the University of Glasgow asked 1,000 people to submit photos and fill out surveys rating how lucky, funny, loyal, and religious they considered themselves. Then a second group was asked to identify those who fit the bill and found that women's faces were much easier to read than men's.
Here are some interesting results:
• 70 percent of participants correctly identified the lucky female face. •73 percent correctly identified the female religious one.
• Participants found it nearly impossible to accurately identify the male pictures.
"People do associate facial appearance with certain personality traits and our snap judgments of faces really do suggest a kernel of truth about the personality of their owner," said researcher Dr. Rob Jenkins.
He also said the study shows "people readily associate facial appearance with certain personality traits. It's possible that there is some correlation between appearance and personality because both are influenced by our genetic make-up."
And it makes sense--scientists say people often assume beautiful people are nicer than their less hunky counterparts. And interestingly, other research says while a man's hotness dictates how nice you perceive him to, the opposite is true for women--the kinder you are, the hotter you'll look.
