Extra: Young starlet Dakota Fanning has confirmed longtime rumors that she'll star as tiny vampire Jane in the hotly anticipated "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon."

The 15-year-old actress' role as the deadly bloodsucker has been confirmed to People magazine by a rep from Summit Entertainment. Filming for "New Moon" begins in Vancouver later this month -- and the cast is already gushing over the script!

"We did just get a script -- we're shooting the rest of the films back to back," Nikki Reed -- who plays Rosalie -- dished to the magazine. "Chris Weitz is amazing and I think it's going to be wonderful."

"New Moon" is set to rise in theatres late November.
