The trendy teen chain is launching its plus size line. Does that mean that finally a size 8 woman can fit into their clothes?
Sixty-plus percent of women over 18 in the United States wear a size 12 and above. So isn't it about time, then, that teen fashion mecca Forever 21 launch their plus size line? There aren't any places to shop for hip, trendy, inexpensive clothing, especially in the teen market.
Finally, Forever 21 will make its attempt. In May, they will launch "Faith 21," which will consist of a "Junior Plus" line up to a Junior 2X. However, considering the totally unrealistic sizing they currently have, we're assuming this means that a size 8 or 10 woman may be able to squeeze into a 2X, since their current size Large fits a size 4-6 woman -- and they don't offer XL.
Though it's a step in the right direction, in order to capitalize on the rest of the country, Forever 21 will have to start being more inclusive, and not just cater to the uber-skinny, curve-free tween girl. Just think, they've excluded sixty percent of the population!

First of all, I’m not sure where this article got their sizing from. I used to fit in Forever 21’s clothes when I was a size 10/12 (pre-pregnancy & birth 3 months ago). Torrid (a plus size store) offers sizes 12 and up. Personally, I don’t consider size 12 plus size but that is the fashion industry’s standard.
first, no woman (over 21) should be shopping this chain.
second, if you’re over a size8, then you probably shouldn’t be wearing most of these styles anyways.
I’m a size6 and I wouldn’t be wearing that trash, not even under the age of 21!
Good for them - not everyone is thin and all teenagers have the right to find some trendly items if desired.
Yes, I have a 16 yr old and a 10 yr old. The clothes there are trashy and hardly hold up to 1-2 washes! It might be trendy and fun for some, but I need clothes that are tough for my girls. Having a plus size is the right thing to do considering its hard to buy for a larger teen, but they should improve the quality first.
Any store that sizes an “8” as an XL is just encouraging teens to see a normal body weight as too fat. Thanks but no thanks, Forever 21 — kids have enough trouble without you deigning to allow them to think healthy=fat by calling it Plus Sized.

ok i have always shoped at forever 21 and im a size 10/12 all of their colthes fit me really well
The people on here are funny, first off I wear a size 0/2, my friend wears a 10/12 and we both shop at the store without issue, this article states a size large fits a size 4/6 woman are you insane? The author must have body image problems or is extremely over weight. As for age you have to know what to buy, I am 29 and shop there often, you can find really cheap tee shirts/blouses to match with your Zara blazer or a weekend sundress, its about knowing what works for your body, and picking items made with more cotton, the company is changing to XXI to help the narrow minded un- fashion forward people who think you should start shopping at target at 25
