Yahoo: Two more of the world's longest surviving octuplets went home Thursday night, and Nadya Suleman's spacious four-bedroom home is quickly filling up.

Twelve children are now in Suleman's care after Makai and Jeremiah were released from Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center, exactly two months after their historic births. Two babies remain in the hospital.

"Over these past several weeks we have seen these little ones flourish, grow stronger each day, which is rewarding for each of us who have cared for them," said Dr. Mandhir Gupta, a neonatologist at Kaiser.

The babies were born nine weeks premature on Jan. 26, weighing between 1 pound, 8 ounces, and 3 pounds, 4 ounces. Makai and Jeremiah, like their infant siblings at home, now each weigh more than 5 pounds.

The smallest octuplets, Jonah and Josiah, remain in Kaiser's neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital would not release their weights but said they are doing well.

"They were just so much smaller than the others. They just need more time to develop and grow and tolerate food," Kaiser spokeswoman Beth Trombley told The Associated Press.

The first pair of infants to arrive home on March 17 were greeted by a chaotic crush of reporters and photographers in the quiet cul-de-sac in La Habra, about 25 miles east of Los Angeles. Another pair of baby girls went home Saturday in secret, at Suleman's request.

The latest arrivals were greeted by only three photographers and were escorted by a police patrol car and a motorcycle through the city, said La Habra police Lt. Tom Dutton.

"The first time we were not notified and were taken a little off-guard by the media frenzy," Dutton said. "We finally had dialogue with a representative of the family, an attorney, and were able to prepare for this."

Dutton said police closed Suleman's street "so we didn't have any paparazzi jumping on her vehicle. It wasn't a police escort with lights and siren. We were just in the vicinity to make sure their safety wasn't compromised."

The hospital would not say when the remaining babies would be released.

Suleman, unemployed and single, had six children, ages 2 to 7, before giving birth to the octuplets. She has said all 14 children were conceived through in vitro fertilization.

Help! The babies need LOVE and ATTENTION by a mother not a babysitter, WHOS going to do it. Not octoma, like she said ,shes just into it for the WELFARE! Shes unable and unstable. Get those kids out of there or they are doomed with this woman.

Kristina March 27, 2009, 10:22 AM

Maybe instead of trying to yank the kids out of her arms everyone needs to lift her and all her children up in prayer. She obviously has some problems that she should be getting help for not condemnation. Judge not lest ye be judged people.

FLGRAD09 March 27, 2009, 10:23 AM

why are you so worried about someone else life?? Everyone has to critize another person for the way they are raising their children or how she is taking care of her kids..as long as she can take care of them and not have them in an orphanage why should it matter…put yourself in her place..if you had 8 babies and someone was sitting there talking abiut how they should take your kids away HOW WOULD YOU FEEL???? Dont judge someone without putting yourself in their shoes…

Excuse me, FLGRAD09, whether a drug addict or cheater still get to have their children just because they are their mother. They will hate not having their children being taken away The enviorment will always as get worse, once to live with these people like that So, that octo mom is mentally Ill , where has alots of craving for make up lost of attentions she lacked during the childhhod and use the kids to give her unconditional love. Wait and see when the kids get little older. She would find it differently! Same woman who begged for the money to donate from people into her website. Plus she ued her welfare check to have 6 times implanted embryos. She is A NUT! I would not forgive her for having one of my money as a tax payer into the welfare check she uses!

I feel sorri triple more than ever for the babies.

I don’ think that anyone married or not should be having this many children. I feel that there is no way that those children are getting the love and care from there mother that they deserve. I wish that she would realize that she needs help for those babies to thrive. She needs to stop thinking about the ways that she can make money off of thses babies and start taking care of them. Who is going to help with the other children? It’s not like they are old enough to take care of themselves. I just really don’t think that Nadia thought this one through. I will pray for this family and hope for a postitive outcome.

You have to give her credit for turning out healthy kids. I can’t believe they’ve reached 5 lbs so quickly and as far as I know, none is on a monitor. I guess Kaiser must feel that they are safe or they wouldn’t let them go. Bet it’s hard for some of those Kaiser nurses to part with them.

Ha cracking judgmental line “Suleman, unemployed and single, had six children, ages 2 to 7, before giving birth to the octuplets”.

Gather up the villagers we got us a witch hunt.

motherx2 March 27, 2009, 11:50 AM

Excuse me, the report only said she recieved food stamps thats hardly a check. Do you even know how much a welfare check is? Look it up. If you have any knowledge you would know that it won’t cover a utility bill. I work for a State so there for I know. I think that you all are forgetting the toll on person that just had 8 babies. Plus if i’m not mistaken alot of the information that is out there is not suspose to be, because of the HIPPA (medical)laws mandated by the government. If i were her I would be gathering info about a law suit for the information that she herself did not give out. SHe has rights, whether she makes good or bad decision. Personally it is not the publics business how the children are doing, when they go home or anything else. Most of the people who have opinions on this case need to evaluate their own lives and quit being such hipocrits and judgemental. You can’t throw stones at people. There have many that has had 14 or more children ( I would know my father has 15 successful brothers and sisters). If i had been in the same situaition i would not have done a selective abortion. PLEASE! Those children have a purpose for being here.
Look at the couple who has had 17 kids and counting, but because they are married its ok. I don’t see anybody treating them like NAdya has been treated.I think every body need to leave her ALONE! Let her do her thing. What i would like to know is where are her family, such as cousins

When my baby was born, my Mother said:
“If grandma (in this case, taxpayers) buys shoes for the baby; grandma has the right to a say about the baby.” If public scrutiny is a problem for Nydia, public assistance needs to cease and she needs to pay the hospital with her own money. That should erase the taxpayer’s entitlement to judge.

Of course she isn’t in it just for the welfare. She is in it for TV deals and merchandise she will market those poor kids for all they are worth. They are growing up in an institutional like setting. How could they not? How many kids do you have and how hard is it to find the time for each and every one? My husband and I have four. I am exhausted every night. And motherx2 as a woman who works for the state I am truly surprised at you saying it is not the public’s business how the children are doing behind closed doors! Are you saying as long as a person neglects their kids quietly we shouldn’t be concerned? Good for your grandparents raising 16 kids. But Nadya is not stable! You can and should throw stones if the welfare of a child is involved. If nothing else to make sure she is raising productive members of society that won’t need a lifetime of therapy. Is that any way to live? And the toll on a girl who CHOSE to have eight babies when she had six already… Sorry no sympathy. She seems to be doing well enough for tv appearances and manicures.

SHERI March 27, 2009, 1:12 PM

Nadya has the right in this country to raise her kids unless something bad happens just like every other woman, single or married and even teenage girls have the right. Women who are mentally ill or mentally impaired have the right to take care of their own children unless they abuse or neglect the child. Men can adopt babies. We all have the right as Americans to care for our children unless we harm them in some way. So all these opinion polls are pointless.

YoungWisdom March 27, 2009, 1:22 PM

Wow…Some of you people on here are so critical and judgement. We are all human and we all do things that we shouldn’t. What’s the difference in here mistakes and our own???? NOTHING at all. Instead of you all judging her and knocking her down further than she already is, how about PRAYING for her and all 14 of her children that God will keep and protect this family as well as provide. While you all are talking about welfare and tax payers, lets not forget that GOD is the ultimate provider besides, I’m sure tax payers has done something for us all.

Cindy March 27, 2009, 1:43 PM

Folks have been having large families for a very long time. This is not a surprise, her way of going about it was questionable, but they’re all here now and doing well. Going into foster care or anything else will not help these children thrive, there are alot of people in the foster care system to make money and only that. They do not care about the children they are suppose to be caring for and have been screened to take on this important job. Let her be, and let her raise her children to the best of her ability. None of us are perfect, just wish her well with her children and her new life.

sarah March 27, 2009, 1:56 PM

i think that all you haters out there should just leave this women alone…i think that some of you guys are mad because she has 14 kids and you have none…shes just a normal person like the rest of us…as long as she is taking care of her kids and treating them well it shouldnt matter if she pays for their food with food stamps…alot of people in the US are living off welfare and foodstamps…are they in the news?? no they sure arent…she just wants to live her life with her kids and she doesnt need all of you haters harrassing her all the time…so LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!!

have 3 of my own March 27, 2009, 3:00 PM

SARAH, SOUNDS LIKE YOUR SCAMMING THE GOVERNMENT TO. You bleeding hearts make a taxpayer sick. You are encouraging this fraud! She needs these kids yanked from her she and she needs to go to jail for misuseing government money! There is no way she can take care of them.you reep what you sew!!!!

Stacie March 27, 2009, 7:27 PM

Some of the comments on here are so stupid. So, instead of her raising them and the kids being with their mother. Although she has not made the best decisions she has not proven to be a bad parent to the kids. Let’s take them away and put them in the foster system, so they can have a higher chance to grow up with a plethora of emotional problems. Great plan!

evolet March 27, 2009, 7:27 PM

I think shes a selfish person, all she cares for is use her kids to have money and get the luxury life that maybe she’s dreaming of. I feel bad to all the kids i hope that authority will do something and have those kids take out from her and take them to a better place.

Anonymous March 27, 2009, 8:02 PM

This woman is very smart. She figured out a way to make millions without lifting a finger. The shame is, she is using innocent lives to get what she wants. She said she always wanted alot of children, so give her 24 hrs. without monetary help or any kind of support from the public, and see how fast things change.CYS better be ready to step in. Jude

Terry Kuchera March 28, 2009, 5:44 AM

I dont know about in california but in new jersey a welfar check for two people is 322 a month for three is 424 for four is 488 for 5 is 524 and about 25 dollars a month more or less then that for each person in a family after that a check for 14 people with one adult and the rest kids would be less then a thousand dollars a month. can you pay gas electric water sewer car insurance rent ect ect and then pay rent on that? I am sure she didnt go into this to get a welfare check. oh wait very penny she gets from soical security for the two disabled kids gets taken out of that welfare check also.. so if sh is lucky she will get about 800 a month from food stamps and maybe 1000a month fromt he government to support 15 people. she didnt choose to have 14 kids she choose to have 7 and when the last invetro turned wrong she choose not to abort.. i stand by her for that. and the kids would be much worse off in foster care. How many of you can sever ties with a child you carried for 9 months.. 7 months even.. just because they happened to be part of a multiple order birth. I commend this woman for not falling apart I commend her for finding a wzy to support all these children for being able to put together a plan to keep all her children healthy and safe. did you know in most states welfare has not been adjusted for cost of living since the 1970’s she is surviving leave it be. everyone is upset because she is making it work
