Octo Mom's Publicist Quits...Again

sign up for the momlogic newsletter Tweet This

Us Magazine: Octomom Nadya Suleman is without a publicist -- again.

Victor Munoz tells that he quit as Suleman's rep Friday night.

"It just got to be too much," he says. "It's pretty much a free-for-all over there right now. They are freaking out right now.

"Not to sound arrogant, but those people depended on me for everything," he continues. "You have no idea what I've had to do for these people.

"Nadya got real greedy. This woman is nuts," he adds. "This I can say: what ultimately destroyed the business arrangement was personal reasons."

Munoz -- who plans to meet with his lawyers Monday to go over the terms of his contract and confidentiality clause -- did not go into further detail.

Suleman's first publicist, Joann Killeen, stepped down after her firm received over 100 graphic e-mail and voicemail threats.

"They'd put me in the wood chipper and throw me in the bottom of the ocean and hope I die," Killeen has said. "We've gotten her through the worst part of it and now they are putting their venom and anger toward us."

Mad as heck March 8, 2009, 11:11 AM

No shocker in this story. She is stressed to the max and I can understand greed when it comes to kids others will do anything right or wrong to get what they need, and she will be like that untill she is in the new place and has all the kids settled down She is scared to a dollar. She knows she may lose assistance and have a lot of bills. I hope he fills us all in Monday or Tuesday with all he knows. He will get what ever she was being greedy about and get money for his story. Might have been his plan all along.

Come on… did we really need this publicist to tell us she’s off her rocker? The woman already had 6 kids while unemployed, then she goes and gets knocked up with 8 more! And not by accident!

Any reasonable (aka: sane) person wouldn’t have had the 6 if they weren’t working. And then to go and have more. Child abuse/neglect is inevitable in this case. Even if she turns her privates into a cash machine and never goes to work (thanks to all the government assistance she will be rewarded with), she will not be able to devote enough time to each child for them to grow into happy and healthy adults. And it’ll only be worse if she gets a job to attempt to support her insanely large family.

I want children one day too. I love kids, but I’m unemployed right now (due to the economy - thank you, Mr. Obama). My biological clock is ticking, and I don’t have many child-bearing years left. However, I am responsible enough and I love my future children enough to delay their conception until I am in a better place financially. And if that doesn’t happen before I hit the age of a higher risk of birth defects, then I won’t have any. After all, shouldn’t it be more about the quality of our children’s lives than about our own selfish desires?

Nobody needs that many children unless they are in a stable marriage with someone who wants the same and a happy and safe home from the start. I agree, she is nuts and however much she may like children, she doesn’t need that many… if any. I love guinea pigs, but I know I can’t take care of one right now. Common sense. Did you see the video of the home the children are living in??? Where is CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES??

Families used to be large and children would grow up just fine. But that was long before Bush and the Republicans destroyed the economy with 8 years of stealing from the little guy. Too much attention from parents in families with only one or two children has been turning children into spoiled, narcissistic and selfish sociopaths. See Octopussy or Melissa D.

Judy March 8, 2009, 12:38 PM

Melissa, I agree with pretty much everything you said about Nadya; however, I very much disagree with your shot to Obama re: your unemployed status. He’s only been there two months—blame Geo. Bush, if you must blame someone, for the state of the economy. He had eight years to do something constructive, but only managed to get us into a war against a country that didn’t do ANYTHING to us and waste billions of dollars in the process and cause the deaths and maiming of thousands of our next generation of men and women. You can thank Obama for his efforts to extricate us from that mess.

Hopefully, welfare looks into the situation BEFORE she takes the octuplets home.If she was living in filth with six children, it makes a person wonder what it will be like with 8 more. And, who will pay the bills and take care of all of them? It is more than one person(or two) can handle.Child protection services need to investigate before she is allowed to bring the new babies home.

Vixen Spring March 8, 2009, 12:55 PM

If you people don’t know who will be supporting these 14 kids + their mother, then you are all blind as bats. We will - the taxpayers in this great land of America. I can’t afford any more people to support - I am 69 yrs. old, living on Social Security and I have my hands (wallet) full of trying to pay my own bills without adding another brood.

motobud March 8, 2009, 1:11 PM

Yes! I agree with all of you guys. But, at least she is a legal citizen. We spend Billions on welfare for illegals in this country.

libertarianvoice March 8, 2009, 1:20 PM

How did Socialism get such a hold on a country like this one. So many of you are woefully misinformed.

Obama and his ilk will reward REWARD Octomom and all like her with those evil rich people’s money. Until those evil rich people quit working to support those who refuse to support themselves.

Socialism— a great idea till you run out of other people’s money.

tnk.smom March 8, 2009, 1:39 PM

There should be a law, something to do with if the lady can NOT take care of the children she already has, that she is REQUIRED to be sterilized; to prevent issues like this. She was already having problems affording and taking care of her older children…she should NEVER EVER been allowed to have more.

Nancy March 8, 2009, 1:40 PM

Melissa D. as Marilyn and Judy say I agree with your comments on the mom deal, but how can you blame Obama with him only in office seven weeks for being unemployed now. Wake up. It’s not been that long since Bush has left office. He’s the one who started the economy mess and Obama’s just trying to dig us out of the hole Bush made for the rest of the country.

HiTek702 March 8, 2009, 1:43 PM

This publicist should never get another client again. Sounds unprofessional to dish about your client. Talk about lack of discretion.

As for Octomom? Leave it alone already. Let people live. You all aren’t doing anything positive.

Add some excitement to your lives in other ways.

Tonya March 8, 2009, 1:47 PM

With all the money she has spent on plastic surgery to look like Angelina Jolie - and not have any money to raise those kids…Social Services should hopefully consider that and take those babies away from her - she’s obviously off her rocker. The children are the victims here and I feel so sorry for them.

karyle March 8, 2009, 1:55 PM

It’s amazing to me that this lady can have 6 kids at home that she is unable to support and get invetro and ends up in having 8 more! How did she have to money to pay for the procedure in the first place?! In-vetro is a miracle in itself when conception takes place. Don’t hang the mother for having 8 more kids, hang the doctor who didn’t have the sense not to do it! All he wanted was money in his pockets!

grubbypaws March 8, 2009, 2:03 PM

Ok ‘hold the phone ‘here just one minute! WHY does this woman have a publicist in the first place? And who is paying for one? Secondly who in their right mind wants to be hers? Bonafide nut job the least we hear about her, the better!

Jay March 8, 2009, 2:05 PM

Dr. Phil must be just as crazy as she is. He actually used his show to try and gain public sympathy for this woman and to encourage his viewers to send her money for the 14 kids! Excuse me, isn’t she on public assistance? That’s not enough, in his opinion? Who told her to have 14 kids? And when are her parents going to stop enabling her? I work for a living and pay my own bills. No one takes care of me but ME. This nut case is not getting ONE DIME of my hard earned money. No one else should “donate” to her either! Let’s drop the nonsense and get real!!!

bunn March 8, 2009, 2:08 PM

Amen to grubbypaws comment above! If this woman can’t afford a decent home or care for all her kids, etc WHY does she have want or need a publicist. Sure sounds like she has her priorities skewered here. Why are the authorities NOT stepping in here stopping all this bs?

mom of five March 8, 2009, 2:11 PM

If the State was smart, they would sue the doctor that performed her invitro procedure and demand that he pay child support for at least the last 8 kids for the next 18 years! And…if they have a penchant for college, he should have to pay for that, too. The mother may have a few marbles missing, but the doctor was totally irresponsible and why should we have to pay for his idiocy? I raised five kids and worked my tail off. Didn’t get any handouts when I was a single mom. Why should I pay for someone else who isn’t willing to work?

Jay March 8, 2009, 2:12 PM

How the hell can “Melissa” blame Obama for a huge mess that the Bush administration spent 8 years creating and defending? Wise up, for Christ’s sake! Give our new President a break! He’s only been in office 2 months or less! You expect him to wave a magic wand and correct 8 years of Republican madness in 2 months? Are you really that unrealistic???
