Chron.com: Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman frantically called the police, fearing for the safety of her children because the paparazzi were trying to break down her garage door Tuesday night, according to a 911 tape released Wednesday.

"I need help and this is not safe for any of the kids," Suleman says on the tape of the La Habra (Calif.) Police Department. "Please hurry."

Suleman, who has become an internationally famous single mother of 14, brought two of her octuplets home from the hospital late Tuesday as reporters, photographers and onlookers swarmed the SUV that she was in with her babies. Photographers jumped on top of the vehicle and some of them became trapped inside the garage, which had a bent door.

Her older children arrived earlier in the evening. Six of the octuplets remain in the hospital.

On the 53-second call at 10:28 p.m. PDT, Suleman identifies herself to a La Habra police dispatcher .

"They are trying to break down the garage door. We pulled in and they are swarming the whole area," Suleman said. She said people had come onto the property, but some got pushed out.

After police arrived, officers estimated that they had to clear out about 250 people from the area, said Cindy Knapp, La Habra Police Department spokeswoman.

Suleman moved into a four-bedroom house at the end of a tiny cul-de-sac off of a main thoroughfare.

Police found a damaged garage door at the house, but Suleman declined to file a police report about the damage, Knapp said. No arrests were made.

This is sick. I am not a fan of her and think what she did was idiotic but it’s over and they are here. All of these people complaining about what she is doing to her children and those same people are putting those kids in danger. This is awful. This is the 1st time I have ever felt bad for her. It’s one thing to be on the street, taking pictures whatever, but when they are hanging on the garage door, screaming and trying to break in, THAT is scary to a child! Who knows what they are thinking as it’s happening, those poor kids. Leave her alone. She is obviously going to have her plate full and if we are so concerned about how the hell she is going to do it, why are we making it worse by doing things like this! Sick and Sad…..

she’s right. She may have issues but the paparazzi and their lack of respect and safety is disgusting. Every one of them should be ashamed to go home to their own families. Despicable.

I agree with Amy!!! She has a right to privacy at home, just like the rest of us!!! These people need to quit putting those kids’ lives in danger, and BACK OFF!!!!!!

How terrible. I feel so bad for her now. Is that even legal for them so be on her property like that. Gloria loves to her face in the camera where was she to Protect the babies when this happen? Some one could be seriously injured and the older kids inside must have been terrified.

I am sick of looking at her and more sick of listening to her ignorance. If her ultimate goal was not to be a burden to the public, she would not have had the first six. I do hope that someone wants to look at her and get her off public assistance and keep an eye on the poor children
