"Table For 12" Debuts

Yes, it's another show focusing on a larger-than-life family ... will you watch?
TLC's "Table for 12," a new "Jon & Kate Plus 8"-like reality series that will follow Eric and Betty Hayes and their 10 children, premieres tonight at 10PM ET/PT.
Table for 12 will follow Eric, Betty and their 10 kids -- 12-year-old twin boys Kevin and Kyle; 10-year-old twins Kieran and Meghan; and 4-year-old sextuplets Tara, Rachel, Ryan, Connor, EJ and Rebecca, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
The series will document how the family tackles daily life while also enjoying special occasions ranging from birthday parties to bowling trips.
There is an ongoing fascination with large families," said TLC programming executive Nancy Daniels. "The Hayes family is truly inspirational and the strong bond they share as they tackle everyday obstacles as a large family is captivating to watch."
TLC is already home to "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and "18 Kids and Counting," two reality series that follow families consisting of a large quantity of kids.
Last month, TLC president Eileen O'Neill confirmed that several production companies affiliated with the network had contacted Nadya Suleman -- the controversial California mother who gave birth to octuplets in January despite already having six previous children -- about the possibility of developing a reality series.
However, due to vocal viewer reaction, the network subsequently decided against pursuing a new series starring Suleman.
Will you watch "Table for 12"?
Right, because a family dealing with a special needs child is “white bread boring”
I’d rather see how they cope, and maybe learn a thing or two, than watch ANOTHER doctor/lawyer drama.
No, I will not watch this program nor do I watch any so-called reality shows. I find them very boring. I just don’t care to see the daily lives of other families on television. I live in reality and see the daily lives of family and friends. That’s good enough for me.
Watching right now!
How is this family any different than Octomom? They chose to have fertility treatments after 2 sets of twins. Now they have a severely disabled child that will need assistance for the rest of her life.
I don’t think families like this should be put up on a pedestal.
Why would I watch this? I really don’t get what the excitement is in watching other people try to raise their kids.
I watched it and I thought it was sweet. The mom clearly loves her kids and doesn’t act like a martyr. They treat the child with CP as though she is a valued member of the family and did not seem to mind the extra work it takes. The mom laughs all the time and the dad is fun and soft spoken. If anyone should have a large family, it’s these two people.
I’m with Caroline … why would a couple with two sets of twins seek out fertility treatments? Were four children not enough work and responsibility?
Judgments aside … I didn’t watch. I can only take so many reality shows about large families. I swear, half of TLC’s programming is shows about large families. Don’t they have any other ideas?
No I wont be watching. I do like their other programming like the tree man or the 1 ton mom or the medical mysteries. I don’t particularly care about people who CHOSE to have 100 kids like the Duggars, Octomom, and the rest of them.
One reality show I do love is Troy Dunn the Locator. I cry my eyes out.
Nope, not gonna watch. I have enough “family” entertainment raising my own kids.
I watched it. I kinda like these people. They actually seem down-to-earth and relatable. If they want more kids and can afford more kids, more power to them. My grandparents had 10 kids, just because it isn’t considered the norm today doesn’t make it wrong. Octomom’s decision was wrong. Very. Very. Wrong.
I love this show, Thank GOD they replaced Jon and Kate, Kate has gone off her rocker and this family is real, The Mom and Dad clearly have their heads on the right way,, Keep it on Please
Watched it enjoyed it laughed at times cried a lot God Bless this family and little Rebecca
I am so glad to tell you I love Table for 12.Then Little People John &Kate.
I liked the mother, but not the show at all. Anyone can have 18 children.
Please don.t take the ones I like off the air. You can take the one about 18 children.
I did watch the Table for 12. Loved it
plus John & Kate and Little People.
They seem like a very sweet family. Only problem is- you can see the setups on this show a mile away- the formula setups are very apparent. The other major problem is that it is SO BORING! I wonder if this will be the death knell of large family shows on TLC.
I’ve been watching the show because I’m curious about CP and how parents cope with Rebecca’s special needs.
I really like the parents, and when Betty cried while talking about Rebecca’s limitations it made me cry.
I’m looking forward to learning more about CP through their family.
i think the father acts very immature and allows anything- he shows no discipline skills and i would not allow my children to watch because of this their commercial is just gross and i think the family really lacks what it takes to be interesting- when they first aired they were into only fast foods, but now they are filmed with three course dinner - who pays such high grocery bills - surely nt a cop salary especially school security
the mom doesnt enjoy any of the things they have been asked to do for the show ex ice skating- she was really put out and all she wanted to do was get more french fries - real healthy
this show is twins, twins and five - they very seldom show rebecca because she has nothing to offer in reality form - please take them off the tlc programing and start a program for little rebecca and put the others in the background - maybe them rebecca can get more attention instead of being tossed over someones shoulder and carried around while the others are stars. she needs phyical therapy, education and more intervention from those that work with special children the others can help themselves in their own crude way but please help rebecca
I fully agree - this sppecial needs child should be the starm, not the other bunch of hoodlums - they ha ve nomanners or respect and the father is not a very good role model for others

No, I will not be watching. The family and show do not look compelling to me. Dare I say even white bread boring.
