But most would never tell their moms if it happened to them, our poll found.
When Radio Disney sensation Chris Brown allegedly assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna, we were disturbed. These were our kids' role models, after all. How would this affect our children? To find out, we went straight to the source. Momlogic.com surveyed nearly 500 teens and young adults on Facebook about the Chris Brown-Rihanna situation, and what we found was shocking.
Our survey respondents are no strangers to domestic violence:
• 50% of guys and girls both say they have witnessed domestic abuse firsthand.
• 42% of guys and 37% of girls say they have witnessed a friend being the victim of domestic violence.
• 23% of girls and 50% of guys say they have personally been hit by their partners.
Think you know "everything" about your teen? Think again. We asked if they would tell their parents if this happened to them? 61% of girls and 47% of guys said no way.
In addition, an alarming number of the teens we polled blame the victim. 42% of guys and 36% of girls shockingly felt that Rihanna did something to deserve what happened.
When asked if Rihanna should have taken Chris Brown back, 80% of girls and 66% of guys said no. But 68% of girls and 55% of guys say they'll still listen to his music even after this incident.

Hi, - spotted this web site inadvertently when searching across the net this afternoon, and delighted that I did! I like the style and design and tones, but I need to say that I’m having trouble when it loads. I’m using Camino 1 internet browser for mac, and the menu doesn’t line up well. i’m sure I have employed a similar layout on a client’s online site, but the menu seems fine on mine. I imagine the mistake is with my outdated browser & maybe it’s time to swap!
