The Baby Snuggie?!

In case you've missed out on the amusement of the Snuggie, we now introduce you to the Baby Snuggie!

Baby Snuggie

Thanks to its brilliant infomercial, the Snuggie has become a national obsession. They've been given as gag gifts, become the dress code for the "Snuggie Pub Crawl" -- and some people, surprisingly enough, claim to really dig them!

Now, it appears there's a new member of the Snuggie family -- the baby Snuggie! Actually, it's called the Peekaru, which we're assuming is a derivative of peekaboo, and it's a baby carrier-slash-vest. Just as the Snuggie has holes in the blanket for your hands, this one's got a hole for you little one's noggin! This $80 contraption looks like Baby Bjorn meets Snuggie meets the most ridiculous fleece ever.

Would you wear this? (Please say no ...)

Um……NO lol crazy if you ask me

Anna March 27, 2009, 10:20 AM

Actually I think Peekaru is derivative of Peekaboo PLUS Kangaroo. Because this is kind of like some sort of weird kangaroo-ish baby-tummy thing going on.

Kenna March 27, 2009, 10:22 AM

That looks alien!

Becca March 27, 2009, 10:26 AM

It looks like a Teletubbie with a parasitic twin.

Ew.

Alison March 27, 2009, 10:28 AM

I have one and I love it! I live in Canada and this let me wear my baby all through the winter.

Shylah March 27, 2009, 10:29 AM

Seriously?!

Sandra March 27, 2009, 10:40 AM

OMG - WHY???!!!

Veronica March 27, 2009, 10:59 AM

I’ve always thought these were a cool idea, for exactly the reason Alison gives, but never ponied up the $80 for one when my DS was small enough. They’re great for wearing your baby on your back. I’ve never seen one worn on the front like this!

Jaret March 27, 2009, 11:11 AM

That is downright C-R-E-E-P-Y! Gad-zooooks!

NMSO March 27, 2009, 11:15 AM

I agree with Becca.. looks like a creepy teletubbie… I wore both my kids but would NOT wear this..

anonymous March 27, 2009, 11:26 AM

This one looks creepy, and I’m sure my son would complain about that thing around his head. I’ve seen other jackets made for baby wearing, and they don’t look nearly as ridiculous.
