The Great Toothbrush Debate

Can a toothbrush really be rated PG?
Momlogic's Julie: Last night, my husband and I were shopping for "Tooth Tunes" toothbrushes for our kids and a huge debate broke out.
I chose a "Hannah Montana" or a "Camp Rock" one for my daughter, who's 5. But my husband said "let's keep her young and innocent a little while longer," and picked up a "My Little Pony" one instead.
I guess I see what he means. She is only in kindergarten but is 5 going on 15. She says Dora is "too babyish" and gravitates toward iCarly and tween shows she is much too young for.
As I heard the theme song to "My Little Pony" blaring out of the bathroom this morning, I just had to smile. She's still our little girl.

i cringe when i see little girls with hannah montana or high school musical crap. my 4 year old just picked out her new toothbrush and it was hello kitty this time and i love it! my mother in law got her some hannah montana notebooks and stuff and i quickly put an end to that. i also hate it when my dd’s friends say they watch that and other movies i think are “too old”. maybe i’m old fashioned but i’d rather her stay “a baby” a little longer :) she has plenty of time for that older stuff.
