Before you ask just how Michelle Duggar is going to be mom to 19, don't worry. This time she's going to be a grandmother.
People reports the eldest Duggar child, 21-year-old Joshua, and his new wife, 20-year-old Anna, are expecting their first child.
Joshua tells People "I am very excited and am learning new ways every day that I can be there for my wife. I thought that she would be the only one going through the emotions of pregnancy, but I'm right there with her."
The magazine reports it was Joshua who actually broke the news of the pregnancy to his wife and the entire family, after Anna had taken a pregnancy test. "I took the pregnancy test, but I couldn't bear to look at it because I didn't want to be disappointed," Anna says. Joshua was able to keep the results a secret until the entire clan -- including his wife -- were all gathered together. Joshua says he announced it by saying "You're going to join the Mommy team!'
As for how mom Michelle and dad Jim Bob feel about the impending birth, they're over the moon. "We are so thrilled about this news," Michelle tells People. "It is so fun to be around Josh and Anna. They are walking on clouds." Jim Bob agrees: "We are really excited about being grandparents. We think it is really going to be easier than being parents." Joshua and Anna's pregnancy will be featured on their reality show, "18 Kids and Counting."
The young Duggar couple, who run a used car dealership, live not far from their family in Arkansas. Anna says she's been getting a lot of advice from her mother-in-law, who is an expert on being pregnant. "She told me to eat small meals frequently during the day to get through the morning sickness," she says. "And she gave me apricot juice that I've been sipping. It really helps a lot."
As for whether or not they'll keep with the J name theme, Josh said on this morning's "Today" show "We're pretty sure we're not going to go with J," adding that they're thinking about using the letter M, in honor of his mother, as a theme letter. As for how many kids they'll have, he said, "We're leaving that up to God."
Joshua and Anna were married in September 2008 of last year.

They can be debt free because they have their own TV show. DUH! That dumb americans watch…we should not pay people to show us how the manage a ton of kids then expect our teenagers not to think it is a “party” being a parent.
- what is wrong with all this
And so it begins …

At least this is a family with good, decent morals. That’s been refreshing to see on TV! And if what they say is true, they waited until they got married to have sex! I can’t think of a better moral example for our young people to follow.

You know it doesn’t bother me so much that she is 21 and having a baby. I was married and had my first at 21 as well, what DOES bother me is that she will never use birth control and they could end up having more children than what the husband came from, that is scary to me and talk about some family pressure.

These people are nuts.

Just to let you know…”What is wrong with all of this” this family was debt free well before the show. Not because of the show. Lets not judge these people. They are good people that help the community and raise families that will pass this quality on to future generations. They might seem wierd due to their extreme beliefs but they are GOOD PEOPLE. There are not enough of them in the world.
- a mommy opinion
Who knows how many children Joshua and Anna will have. Maybe she’s not as fertile as Melinda.

While I think they are insane (I just had my first child a year ago, and one round of Labor is soooo enough for me) they seem to be overall doing well for themselves in comparison to Octomom and some of the welfare baby factories in my local area. They all look clean and well and both parents seem to be participating and they aren’t all being left with the grandparents or strangers or whatnot. So kudos on the pregnancy and good luck to them in their future!

What’s wrong with having more then your “average amount” of children nowadays? People back in the old day did it and they did it without having the technology that we have today. It would be completely different if they were having children placed in them via fertility treatments (Like OctoMom)…I think it’s absolutely wonderful that they are having a baby. I, myself, have 3 little ones and wish I could have had more. I think as long as they realize the hard work that kids bring and can be responsible enough to take care of them, they should be allowed (without judgment) to have however many they want. Good Luck Josh and Anna! Congrats!

Idiots, they all think that breeding is like serving God. Who the hell want’s to get pregnant right away after they got married? They barely know each other, they had their first kiss at the marriage? come on kids, marriage is not a game.
- ICKY
she’s not 21, she’s 20. How sad. there goes her life!

HE told HER that she was pregnant?!? ICK! is all I can say. - Trina How is that”ICK”?Its nice to have the roles reversed.Us women are always breaking the news to our husbands, why cant they do it for us? No,they are not debt free because of the show,if you pay attention you would know that they were debt free BEFORE the show ever aired. They explain how they manage to do it. However many children one chooses to have doesnt make them”nuts”God obviously believes they are capable.
