Baby Preacher is Sinful

Is this toddler speaking in tongues, babbling, or truly preaching the gospel? Either way it freaks us the heck out.  What do you think?

maybe he’s just mimicking (or mocking) the behavior of the people he sees on the alter at church every Sunday.

I vote mimicking. Babies love to mimick adults, and if it gets them attention, they’ll do it again and again and again.

Mimicking, I bet. Still creepy weird!

I think mimicking..
wow, baby must be at church, watching and listening to a whole lot of church as well.

As a therapist and parent I just have to say that this is the Pavlov experiment all over again. He’s only copying what the adults do and responding to their reactions. Children know when something that they do gets results. If it is a positive result, they will repeat the behavior. If it is a negative result, the behavior will disappear. No, he is not speaking in tongues or preaching. He is simply in in appropriate stage of development.

I think it’s pretty obvious that he’s mimicking and with all the positive re-enforcement he’s getting it’s no wonder he continues to do it.

I had to turn it off it was making me sick. That little boy is obviously being taught how to do this. The man kept kneeling down to him telling and showing him what to do. And the little boy likes the attention so he keeps going along. There is nothing wrong with children being taught about the bible and god but he is just a child who are these people or anyone to force it on them. God should come naturally. There are boundries. Preaching the bible is not for children or at least not a child of that age. And then they put it on YouTube .. tryin to make money? maybe?

Children learn from their environment. They mock those around them. Would you rather this little boy be mocking something he saw on tv or shouting cuss words? I can think of far worse things that this child could be mocking than preaching. Since when is it ok to make fun of, or put down something that you yourself don’t even understand? Haven’t we all been taught to not make fun of each other? When there are children out there bringing guns to school, watching filthy television, bullying each other, and listening to who knows what kind of music I would think that you could find something a little bit more harmful than this to call attention to.

Seriously, sS?! We teach our children to do things all the time. And how will God “come naturally” if a child hasn’t been taught. The child probably started mimicking the minister one day and the family thought it was cute. They’re not pushing religion on him. Geesh, lighten up, people! It’s cute!

I never said it was ok to make fun of anyone even god himself. It is not a childs place to preach. Yea maybe he did mimick the preacher and the family thought it was cute. But they put him on that stage showed and told him what to do. There is something wrong with it at that point. He is only a child.

I agree with most of you this toddler is just mimicking what he sees. Nothing wrong with that. But toddlers do that everyday I don’t see why this is getting national attention?

Wow. Can we say, “Totally lost?” This is a case of an entire group of people completely losing sight of the purpose of their meeting and turning it into Watch Timmy’s Cute Antics. Mass delirium.

lighten up … i think it’s cute that a child could do this mimicking than have him learn to curse and mimick all the sex and violence media has no business exposing our children to. No malice here … it’s a community that just had a litle fun with a toddler doing what he sees all the time … at least we know he’s in a far better environment. What have you parents been exposing your kids to?! Check your own backyard for trash before you pass judgement on others.

Hey. A synonym is a word you use when you can’t spell the word you first thought of.

Best regards :-(, Thatcher.

Good afternoon. Feeling grateful to or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life.
