These Women Are All Trying to Get Pregnant

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Trying to conceive can be the most joyful -- and heartbreaking experience a woman will ever go through. When we were young we thought it was easy, have sex ... get pregnant. But having a baby doesn't always happen overnight, in fact, often it takes time, patience, and a lot of emotional energy.

Conception Diaries
So what really goes on behind closed doors when women have their eye on the pregnancy prize? Join momlogic and the makers of First Response as we follow five women -- 22-year-old Absidi, 30-year-old Korto, 26-year-old Anh-Chi, 30-year-old Meredith and 38-year-old Wendy, as they try to conceive.

Over the next two months, you'll be able to follow each woman's story -- In her own words. In addition to video and written diaries, we'll be featuring expert info you need to know if you're on this journey too. You'll also be able to connect with each woman in our Community, sharing your common experience.

Conception Diaries ... only on momlogic.

I wanted so badly to have children. At Christmas I made special prayer to Jesus and His Mother at the creche for years. When I realized the change was upon me and it wouldn’t happen, DH and I decided to adopt and were halfway through the proces, with a bro/sis pair in an E Eur orphnage chosen. DH had an unexpected heart attack and died, ending the hope of adopting for me. A dear friend is now alone as well; she miscarried a couple of times and had a stillborn girl. When I see unwed teens walking around pregnant, it makes me cry that the wrong people get pregnant so easily, and responsible married women with decent jobs and sense of responsibility and husbands who also have good jobs and a sense of responsibility have such a hard time getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy.
