Is this any way for a dad of seven to act?

Wow ... that's some nerve! Mel Gibson -- just weeks after Robyn, his wife of nearly 30 years, filed for divorce -- thinks it's a good idea to head out on the town, hand in hand with his new, younger, girlfriend.

The two were spotted on the red carpet at the big "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" premiere in Hollywood Tuesday night. The 53-year-old actor was squiring around 38-year-old Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva. Apparently she was signed to his record label, Icon Records.

The divorce is a biggie -- Gibson's net worth is estimated at nearly $900 million. And with no prenup in place, Robyn stands to get one of the biggest settlements ever in a Hollywood divorce.

While this may be shocking, it may not be anything new. Reports indicated their marriage has been nearly over (for all intents and purposes) for several years now -- with the final straw being Gibson's infamous arrest for DUI in 2006 where he spewed anti-Semitic and sexist epithets.

But do you think a guy with seven kids should be stepping out with his girlfriend so soon?

they have been split for 3 years…what is the problem?

i don’t think its nice for the kids but then i don’t know the whole grisly details. If me n hubby split n we found someone new it would be hard enough integrating them into the family without having the press hounding around at every turn.

My personal opinion is that, until the divorce is finalized, you’re still married, and you should act accordingly. That said, my opinion isn’t going to change his behavior, so I’ve decided I don’t care what Mel Gibson does.

They’ve been separated for years. I’m sure the kids are fine. I hate men bashers. It usually takes 2 to destroy a marriage.

I agree, they marriage isn’t over until the divorce papers are finalized. Furthermore, if the marriage was that bad for ol’ Mel, he could have filed for divocre himself. He didn’t. He didn’t even file for legal separation. My guess, Mel’s been very open about being a devout Catholic, not liking the changes to The Church in the 60’s and practicing a strict type of Catholicism. This is the first reported infidelity committed by him. But, we really not know the details of their marraige and what each party considered “split”. We just know that he was still married we he was having sex with another women.

it’s just a piece of paper. the marriage has been over for years. why should he act like he’s still married because it hasn’t been finalized on a piece of paper. seriously people! nothing wrong with moving on if both party has agreed to the divorce. life is too short to wait for formalities!

I think he’s two faced about how he lives his life! I really wonder if he belives in God it’s until death do us part and he should live by that, or he will go stright to hell.
