This provides yet another "teachable moment" for moms.
The Rihanna-Chris Brown incident shook us to the core. It was hard to explain to our kids why Chris Brown, a Radio Disney sensation and role model, could commit such a horrific act. We were shocked when some of our teen daughters were happy when they reportedly got back together. We tried to use this as a teachable moment, but it was beyond disturbing that something like this could happen.
Now two months after news broke of the alleged violent fight between Rihanna and Chris Brown, a PSA about domestic violence starring Keira Knightley is set to debut in theaters.
The two-minute clip, which will start airing April 6, depicts Knightley being violently kicked and beaten by a man, reports PEOPLE.
"While domestic violence exists in every section of society, we rarely hear about it," says the actress, who volunteered to act in the clip for the charity Women's Aid. "Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime and kills two women every week." Atonement director Joe Wright directed the spot.
