How much is a mother's love worth? Apparently, about $122,000.

Salary.com surveyed more than 12,000 moms and deduced that a stay-at-home mom's work is worth $122,732 in 2009. And working moms? They deserve $76,184 for their time at home. That's in addition to what they're pulling down at the office. Um, our paychecks are overdue!

So, what makes our salary so high? According to the survey, a mom is part housekeeper, day-care center teacher, cook, computer operator, facilities manager, van driver, psychologist, laundry machine operator, janitor, and chief executive officer. That's one mother of a resume!

See, we haven't been sitting around all day watching As the World Turns.

Moms are hard to replace and worth lots. How about nursemaid, teacher, moderator and referree? Great article.

I’m a SAHM and admit to sitting down to watch Y & R or DOOL…as I fold laundry. When the dryer buzzes, I have to get on up again. Sigh, the trials of my life :)
Let’s add insect control and lawn care to the list. My husband has an 80 minute commute to work twice a day. I should demanda higher non-paying salary :)
Honestly, I do consider being able to stay home, take care of the tasks my husband isn’t here to do, take my kids to school & pick them up, attend school functions, etc. to be better than a paycheck.
