Click on Detroit: The family of a 45-year-old Shelby Township woman said their mother is missing.
"It was not a shock, we had kind of known that was going to happen," Vani said.
Dinkel's family said she does have some medical issues. She has a brain tumor removed and has been diagnosed with depression. But her family said she has medication and has never run away before.
The last person to see Dinkel was an Oakland County sheriff's deputy, who pulled her over for apparently running a red light at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning near Auburn and Rochester roads in Rochester Hills.
"He did write her a ticket and he said then she broke down and said she had lost her job and that her tumor was back," Vani said.
Vani said the deputy followed Dinkel home to make sure she was safe.
"She just pulled it into the driveway and got out and he said she walked into the garage," Vani said.
Vani said her mother apparently took out $1,900 from a bank account the day she went missing, but no activity on her credit cards or cell phone have been found since.
Dinkel's family said she is about 5 feet 7 inches and 125 pounds. She was driving a silver Ford Fusion with the license plate "IAMBLST."
