Many celebs have been splitting up while knocked up -- would you?

Her milkshake might bring all the boys to the yard, but her husband Nas won't be getting his anytime soon. The pregnant singer Kelis, according to her rep and E! Online, has filed for divorce. The thing is, Kelis is already in her third trimester.

Here are other celebs who've bailed before their due-dates:

Kelly Rutherford: The "Gossip Girl" star filed for divorce December 30 from millionaire husband Daniel Giersch while she was three months pregnant.

Mary-Louise Parker -- She was seven months pregnant with son William Atticus Parker when long-time boyfriend Billy Crudup dumped her for Claire Danes. William was born in January 2004.

Shar Jackson -- She was pregnant with son Kaleb when then-boyfriend (and father of her young daughter) Kevin Federline left her for Britney Spears in 2004.

Denise Richards -- She filed for divorce from Charlie Sheen in March 2005 while pregnant with the couple's second child, Lola Rose. Lola was born three months later in June 2005.

Heidi Klum -- In the fall of 2003, Klum announced she was pregnant with boyfriend Flavio Briatore's child. On the day she announced the pregnancy, Briatore was photographed kissing Fiona Swarovski, a jewelry heiress. Klum and Briatore split up shortly thereafter. Klum gave birth to Helene "Leni" Klum on May 4, 2004.

Bridget Moynahan -- Her three-year relationship with Tom Brady ended in late 2006, and Bridget announced she was pregnant in February 2007 and that Brady was the father. By then, he had already hooked up with supermodel Gisele. John Edward Thomas Moynahan was born August 22, 2007.

Elizabeth Hurley -- In November of 2001, Elizabeth split up with Stephen Bing while she was four months pregnant. In April of 2002, Hurley gave birth to a son, Damian Charles Hurley. Bing denied paternity by alleging that he and Hurley had a brief, nonexclusive relationship in 2001. A DNA test, however, established Bing as the child's father.

Would you file for divorce or split up while you were pregnant?

My first thought was, NO, absolutely not…but then again, who knows what situations these women were in, when it was them who decided to end the relationship (rather than him)? Perhaps the husband or boyfriend was cheating, abusive, or just plain cruel…perhaps he was acting in a way to rebel against the upcoming birth and all the responsiblity a new child brings. Maybe he balked and admitted he’s not ready for this. Who knows? All I know is, I wish Kelis and these other ladies the best of luck. I left my child’s father right after she turned three, and I know how hard it is to go this alone.

Absolutely! Why would I stay in a relationship that is no longer working for whatever reason just because I’m pregnant?

Better to split up while pregnant than to stay with the wrong man. In my experience, most pregnant women who leave relationships do so in the best interests of the unborn baby - and their own sanity. I say, good for them.

If the relationship was that bad, why allow yourself to get knocked up? Seriously they all had access to birth control. Why bring a child into that situation?

Something could’ve very well happened after the pregnancy…and as we all know, accidents happen even WITH birth control. To answer the question, it would be hard for me to leave while pregnant but if the situation wasn’t right, then I would leave.

Most states do not allow couples who are married to split or divorce before the baby is born due to custody issues—one can file before the baby is due, but the divorce cannot go through or to trial or be finalized until after the birth—at least that is how it works in most states.
