People.com: The outspoken Jenny McCarthy is joining forces with TV's queen of talk, Oprah Winfrey - for, among other projects, her own talk show.
The trade paper likens McCarthy's chances to break through to those others who previously have aligned with Winfrey, including Rachael Ray and Dr. Phil.
McCarthy has already been a frequent guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, discussing, among other topics, how she took on the medical establishment to deal with her son Evan's autism.

Jenny McCarthy didn’t ‘take on’ the medical establishment. She concocted and /or parroted a half-baked theory with NO credible evidence that her son’s autism was caused by vaccines. Then she had the absolute gall to say she “cured” him by feeding him a gluten-free diet.
By advocating that parents not have their child vaccinated, this bimbo has probably ensured the sickness and death of many children.
Oprah should be ashamed of herself.
Like we really need one more talk show host.
I just want to say Kudos to Adam and Realmom for both getting it right. Jenny McCarthy is the face of a scary trend in this country. And if more parents don’t start reading the facts soon children will be spreading things like polio amongst them. You think the swine flu is case for worry? Wait until polio, hepatitis B or meningitis starts spreading among kids in 10 years or so.
I totally agree with everyone here. She is filling parent’s minds with false information. They believe her because she is famous and now they will believe her even more because she is backed by Oprah. I also believe that she is probably a nice person but not an authority on anything. What are her credentials?
Thanks to all of your for your thoughtful comments! I couldn’t agree more. She has been falsely playing the role of “medical expert” for way too long. Her conviction in spreading dangerous advice to moms is shameful. I’m so tired of the media talking about her like she’s heroic!
I really hope she doesn’t use her show as a platform to fight against the medical system. Too many people believe everything celebrities say. Jenny McCarthy has gotten millions of people to believe that vaccines caused her son’s autism, leading to more and more parents’ not vaccinating their children. She does not have any evidence, but since she is a former Playboy model who had a son with autism, all of the sudden, she is the expert. I’m sure she’s a nice person, and she’s definitely nice to look at, but she is not an authority on medicine.
