MSMV: A principal and teacher in Cheatham County are being punished for putting students in danger on a field trip.

Last week, around 60 Harpeth High School seniors went canoeing in stormy weather.

Emergency crews spent two hours pulling the students and chaperones from the water.

Many jumped out of their canoes. Others fell out and drifted away from the group because of the strong current and rising water.

Harpeth High principal Jenny Simpkins was suspended without pay for three days and teacher David Helton was suspended for two days, said Director of Schools Lynn Seifert.

The following time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you could possibly fix when you werent too busy searching for attention.
