Octomom, mark your calendars!
Back in May, we told you about Gloria Allred and her co-counsel, John Deily, filing a petition on behalf of their client, Paul Petersen, requesting that the court appoint a guardian over the estate of Nadya Suleman's octuplets.
The court has now moved the hearing date from June 22, 2009, to July 27, 2009, at 1:30 PM in Orange County, California.
Do you think Octomom's kids should be taken away, especially since she has signed up to do a reality show?

NO! She may not be the brightest lady I have even seen, but I have not seen or heard of any reason for her children to be taken. I can’t imagine the stress she is under! And as far as the reality show goes, she has to pay for food somehow.

she shouldn’t be having that many kids if she can’t afford to raise them on her own. she couldn’t even afford the ones she has BEFORE the new EIGHT kids. I think it’s disgusting. her parents had to sell their own house just to support her! ugh.

No she hasn’t proved completely neglectful or abusive by the standards of law yet. Someone should however be watching what she does with the money they earn for her. She can talk all the smack she wants about how she is supporting her kids but we all know if she hadn’t popped out that litter of 8 she would still be living on welfare.

This lawsuit is disgusting. For the protection of her whole family, Octomom needs to pack up her children and leave the state of California. Gloria Allred and Paul Peterson are themselves publicity hounds. Suing her on the supposed suspicion that she “might” abuse them in the future is unconsitutional. Babies care nothing about wireless cameras, and they will not be on sound stages, but in their own home. Allred & Peterson just want to ride on their coat tails. FYI The Dione quintuplets’ parents did not abuse them. The province of Ontario did. The state of California will do no better, splitting them up and sentencing them needlessly to the beleaguered foster care system. The “nurses” Allred had “given” the family were nothing but hired watchdogs who questioned Octomom at ever turn. To her credit, Octomomm recognized what they were and hired her OWN choice of nurses. Good for her! So now Allred no longer has her “in” and she wants the state to force the issue. Octolady, protect your family and get out of their jurisdiction. You have the money now to raise your family from an undisclosed location. I personally know families with 9-12 children that don’t have publicity seeking lawyers and state CPS bureaucrats breathing down their necks. Their children are not as closely aged as yours, but you have your nurses and your visible means of means of support. You don’t have to put up with these circling jackals.

Yes, because they and her are draining our economy and contributing to the budget problem, mooching off people that pay taxes. The kids - all 14 of them need homes with parents that actually work. She just can’t do it alone.

The petition is to protect the children’s money from being used to satisfy Ms. Suleman’s “wants”. I think there is very good reason to put that protection in place. I do not understand those who don’t think it is a good idea. To me, it seems like nothing but a positive choice with regards to the children, which is what we are all concerned about. Ideally, I DO think the children should be in care other than Ms. Suleman’s. However, I don’t think it has come to that, yet, legally, although I do think some careful monitoring is an absolute must.

Could someone share the source of the “visible means of support” referred to by Suzanne’s posting. I have no problem appointing a guardian Ad Litem to oversee the children’s finances. It is obvious that Nadya is incapable of making sound decisions for herself or her children. The fact that she hasn’t held a job, but instead chose to be a baby factory totally dependent on Welfare, tax payers, her parents, misuse of college funds, etc. Nayda is a pathetic soul who really needs help.

Why does this man have any right whatsoever to sue Octomom? He’s not a relative, He’s not the father of any of these babies he needs to get a life. This is NONE of his buisness. As a far as the kids being taken away, we all know Octomom has some serious psychological issues, but she loves all her children and there’s no proof of abuse or neglect. I do think that the state should apoint a legal guardian to help but that’s it. As far as the reality show how do you think Jon & Kate or the Duggars support their huge familys. At least if she’s making tons of money from a reality show she wont need wellfare!

YES. Being an unemployed, unwed woman with 6 kids and choosing to have 8 more IS child abuse. Who would want to be raised in what is, essentially, a 24/7 day care with no privacy and no individual attention?

If you take the kids away from her going to cut back on them draining our economy?? If anything it will make the children 100% dependent on the state which will cost the government much more… No-one tried to take away jon & kate’s kids when they invited a tv show to invade thier lives. This is just stupid. Yes, it was irresponsible to have that many children when you are not able to financially support them, but the fact is they are here and all this drama and hate is only going to hurt them…its not like she can take it back. I think the state should monitor her semi-closely to make sure all is well and other than that stay the heck out of her business.

Nada just had another round of plastic surgery paid for by the generous citizens of California. This time she had a tummy tuck, and more lip work. Also, looks like she had some liposuction to the cheek area. Also, she’s not washing her hair, which means incisions in the hair area, meaning some type of endoscopic surgery. If you think she looked funny before, you should see her now. The lips are quite lopsided, and she can’t speak well. Almost like she had a stroke. If the guardian isn’t appointed, she will end up looking like the cat lady. So the guardianship is for her too. She needs a conservator to protect herself from damaging herself. She ought to be 5150’d.

Who are we to judge her?!Are we perfect and do we not have financial struggles ourselves from time to time?As a single parent I understand this!I don’t care how many she has as long as she loves them and cares for them.And so far she has!So its time to back off and give her a break!
