Celeb Surgeon Gives More Than Facelifts

This plastic surgeon put down the knife and picked up a cause.

When he's not performing cosmetic procedures on celebrities -- he performed breast augmentation and rhinoplasty on "The Hills"' Heidi Montag -- Dr. Frank Ryan is helping underprivileged and at-risk youth. It's all done cowboy-style on Bony Pony Ranch, a swath of rugged land near Malibu, California.

Dr. Ryan began giving back to the community as a student at UCLA, where he spearheaded a program to remove gang-related tattoos. But he wanted to do more, so he purchased the ranch so inner-city kids could enjoy horseback riding, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

Visitors to the ranch can mingle with horses, buffalo, longhorn steer, and a fair amount of celebrities. Over the years, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eva Longoria, Renee Zellweger, Serena Williams, and many other high-profile stars have lent their time and money to the cause.
