Why this teen rates the sixth installment in the Harry Potter series a home run.

Harry Potter

15-year-old Chloe Bates: I've read all the Harry Potter books. Some of them more than once. So as I walked into Grauman's Chinese Theatre last night, my expectations were high. These movies have a reputation for being "magical," and I would accept nothing less from this one.

Well, my expectations were met and exceeded by "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." It was incredible. I loved every minute of it. The acting was spectacular, the special effects were fantastic, the directing (David Yates returns) was superb. Even though I read the book, I was never bored by knowing what was coming next. The movie consistently kept me on the edge of my seat, questioning what could happen.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" was a wonderful mix of funny, scary, sweet, and sad. It made me laugh out loud (especially Ron Weasley's lovesick affairs of the heart), and then I would have to cover my eyes and peek through my fingers when it got scary. I would highly recommend this movie to all adults and teens. Although it is rated PG, small children might be freaked out by some of the terrifying images.

All in all, I give it five stars and two thumbs up.

I thought this was the best film of the series so far!
