Throw a Spa Party for Your Little Diva

Here's how.

Lucy Riles: My sister, Barbara, is a mother of three girls and knows ALL about living with little divas! So when it came time to throw my niece's birthday party, Barb came up with a really fun, creative way to pamper her little diva (and friends) for the day!

Blinged-Out Flip-Flops: At home, set up a flip-flop craft station. What's a spa day without some flip-flops to avoid nail smudging?! When the girls arrive, have them pick out a pair of flip-flops to design and decorate. The station should include feathers, glitter, gems, fancy beads, sparkles, and flip-flop glue, which you can buy at your local craft store. Glue takes a good 12 hours to dry completely, so this is a great gift for the girls to take home and enjoy.

Set Up Shop: Set up comfy pillows throughout the room so the girls can lounge while they each get treated to a mani/pedi. With a little help from your girlfriends, that is: ask them to help act as the salon attendants, painting nails and helping with the stations. After the girls pick out a nail color (or two), let them sit back, relax, and enjoy being pampered from finger to toe!

Set the Mood: Blast your little one's favorite tunes -- they can groove along to Taylor Swift, the "High School Musical" soundtrack, or the Jonas Bros. While the girls wait for their nails to get painted or dry, hold a dance party ... their nails will most certainly dry faster dancing!

I did this for my daughter’s 8th birthday party. Instead of decorating flip-flops, the girls decorated wooden frames (from Michael’s craft store). We did mani-pedi’s and then did chocolate facials. While each girl had the chocolate on her face, I took a picture of her. At the end of the party, I printed out the pictures and put them in the frames for each one to take home.

It was the best party ever!!!

Great idea!! I can’t wait until my little Sophia (she just turned 2) is old enough for this. It is much cheaper than the several hundred dollars my friend recently spent to have her daughters 7th b-day at the little girl salon in our town. Yeah, the girls had fun but you could have the same fun at home (almost) and this was her 7th bday. I’m asked her how she’s gonna top that in the years to come??!!

I am posting the link where I bought a fantastic spa party package for my 8 yr olds party. The girls loved making their own lip gloss and scented lotion. They all said it was the best party EVER and I have to say that the package made it so easy for me because it was all put together with instructions and tons of ideas for the party.
