Momlogic's Julie: The other day before summer camp, my son begged me to wear a Jack Daniels hat we got free with a bottle of whiskey. I said absolutely not -- he's only 8, and I don't want the other moms thinking we're boozehounds. Plus, I don't think it's okay for a kid to be a walking advertisement for an alcoholic beverage, call me crazy.
This week, I saw Victoria Beckham was photographed with 6-year-old son Romeo wearing a Beer Appreciation Society hat. It actually looked pretty cute.
Am I being too uptight ... or is alcohol-related merchandise inappropriate for young kids?

Meh, I used to say no but my husband works for a beer company so he wears a Sam Adams hat, my 3 year old likes to wear it in the car and sometimes when we are shopping. I used to be against it but he’s 3 and he loves it because it’s his dad’s hat so I let him wear it. Now, he also has a visor that he got as a joke gift that says BEER MAN, I wont let my kids wear that one in public! :P

I’ve been known to have my kids (youngest is 3) wear a ‘Molson Canadian’ bucket hat that came free with a case of beer…it’s patriotic, cause we’re Canadian right? ;-)

My husband works for Budweiser and my 8 yr old is proud to wear Daddy’s Bud Light hat, I say there’s absolutely NOTHING wrong with it.
