Disney Prices Going Up

The increases comes one day after Disney announced its third-quarter profit dropped 26 percent.
The last time Disney raised ticket prices was back in August 2008.

Anonymous, since you live so close why not check out disney season passes? They have some really great prices on those. You can also do it even cheaper by only buying the season pass offseason prices, which means you have blackout dates BUT the price is very affordable, especially if you get a tax return back that you can use. Disney offers great things year round, if I lived that close I would definatley have passes.
Disney is breaking the backs of families instead of making it easy for them. THEY ARE PUNISHING MOMS AND FAMILIES! DISNEY IS OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY!!! Who is on their marketing and ticket sales team? Since you don’t have to pay to get into your parks, you don’t have a clue about what families in America are going through. You pride yourself on being a family destination but you don’t really know how to market to moms! This is called ANTI-Marketing to Moms. We all should boycott! SoCal discounts for Anaheim are still too stiff! We spend more than double the ticket price for the low quality food when we are at the park isn’t that enough? Why justification do you have for raising prices??? Good luck, we won’t be back! (Mom of 4 ages 3-11).
Disney is one of the few American based companies still doing well during the global downturn. It does not need to increase prices to match profits it has seen previously. Disney knows that the last place parents want to cut back in their spending for children. Don’t be fooled Disney knows what it is doing by forcing you to reach deeper into your pockets…..
We were planning a trip there next year but i would rather take the kids to a hotel and 6 flags That is just crazy no way us as a family of 4 are going to spend that much money air/gas, a place to stay, food no matter whether you pack or eat there, what ever you buy in the park, and all the lil extras I would rather pass and go somewhere close
As an American company with mass appeal you would think they would be doing the opposite! Why not make visiting Disney parks cheaper during these hard economic times? Disney should run a special campaign till the end of the year offering great deals.

Wow..guess my kids won’t see the Magic Kingdom any time soon. And we live in Florida - 45 minutes from Disney. Who can afford it! We enjoy Sea World and Universal instead. They are constantly giving out free passes to educators and discounts to their families. Disney has never done that. I will agree that Disney does have the excellent quality, once you are there. But we just can’t afford to get in.
