A Chinese hospital offers deep discounts on abortions for young woman.
Chinese women reportedly get over 13 million abortions a year. If this ad is any indication, there's not one shred of stigma that goes along with the procedure.
The newspaper advert from a hospital in Chongqing offers bargain rate abortion at half price -- provided the recipient shows her student I.D.
According to the ad, "Abortions won't stretch [your womb], won't hurt, it's quick, and you can do what you want afterward. It won't affect your studies or your work." (translation courtesy of Shanghaiist.com)

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m very very pro choice. BUT shouldn’t they be advertising condoms, IUDs, depo shots, the pill and Plan B like this instead? So women don’t need to go through the physical and psychological trauma of an abortion for birth control?
Ha! First one is half off. Once you have a living baby, the Chinese govt will “give” you lifelong abortions for free, whether you want them or not. What a country, eh?
