The Baby Planner
Question 1: Co-Ed Shower
We want to have a co-ed shower... any tips for making it fun for both genders? We're guessing the traditional shower activities won't go over so well here.
The Baby Planners say that a party, is a party, is a party. If a co-ed shower is what the mom-to-be prefers, then go for it.A few menu adjustments -like switching out the tea sandwiches for sliders, and the iced tea for an ice cold brew - are easy. You might even be surprised by how many of the invitees (mother in law, co-worker, BFF) actually prefer to bring their significant other, rather than going solo.Sure, you might have to shelve the classic shower games (who really wants to taste and then name that baby food?)for the one being played on TV, but whatever direction the party goes in, general party rules apply:good food, good music, and good hosting equals good times for all.
Question 2: Tacky Using E-announcements
Is it tacky to send out e-announcements (meaning, no paper announcements at all) after my baby is born? Any cute ideas for this?
Tacky? Not at all!You need to do what feels right for you, and if that means forgoing traditional paper announcements, so be it . There are several fabulous e-birth announcement sites that make it easy to create unique and memorable birth announcements.Just google "e-birth announcements" and let the creativity begin! And don't forget, there are plenty of social networking sites that allow you to share not just the good news, but pictures and announcement-worthy details as well.Keep in mind, going paperless means going green which is good for the environment and your wallet, too. While some traditionalists may balk at your electronic announcement, no one will deny it's an email worth opening, sharing and celebrating!
Question 3: Baby Planner

All of this, along with our own "mom" experience, allows us to answer all kinds of questions, late night phone calls, and the casual concerns of parents-to-be.Our job is to hold your hand, guide you through the baby planning process, and to take the labor out of your delivery! ®
Question 4: Diaper Pails
Do diaper pails really work?
Yes.And no.The thing about babies is they poop. And poop a lot, and just when you think they can't poop anymore, they do!We are happy to report that there are many fabulous diaper pails on the market and they seem to be getting better.By fabulous we mean, they really do eliminate odors and are easy to maintain. Some require brand specific bag refills which can get pricey. If you're on a budget, you can find some good pails that use regular kitchen-sized garbage bags.If any smell is too much for you, keep in mind that a walk to the outside garbage can do the trick just as well.
