A shirt depicting the evolution of a high school marching band with a Darwinian twist gets drummed out of school.
Officials at a high school in Missouri have banned students from wearing a T-shirt designed for the school marching band. The shirt, which shows the iconic representation of the evolution of man, has some Smith-Cotton High School parents in a tizzy.
"I was disappointed with the image on the shirt," Sherry Melby, mom of a band member, told a local paper. "I don't think evolution should be associated with our school."
The idea for the image was inspired by the band's theme for the school year, "Brass Evolutions." Each member on the evolution scale is holding a brass musical instrument.
The designer of the shirt is perplexed. "It was just a play on words. Who knew this was going to blow up like this?"

@Skull I don’t think you said much really. I gave you specifics of what those guys like Newton, Copernicus, Kepler, Brahe and Watson & Crick. I asked you to specically explain how Darwinism and the whole evolution theory has done to boost mankind…all I get from you is, “he helped us understand the world”. Hitler helped us understand the world alos, he proved that sin exists; did that by massacring jews. What Darwin has done to mankind is make him ask such questions as, “if all i am is just piece of dirt that came by thru random chances, then who’s to stop me from what i please? I can kill, rape, hate, and not suffer consequences. I am not accountable to anyone!” I don’t hate Charles Darwin, I just don’t like consequences of existing in a Darwinian worldview. If it could be demonstrated clearly that there is no God, or jesus didnt exist, then we have to find the origins of our morals; I have never come across a Darwinist who can explain fully, scientifically, without adding opinions, where morality comes from. It’s always “the selfish Gene” or “we have advanced in our evolution that we can understand morality” but the issue is not solved because you have to understand that morality is not something thats a part of us, it’s foreign, it comes from a Creator, if you will.
Darwin is not God. Evolution is science, not religion. Give me a break.
Give yourself a break and think critically about your “science”, stop abusing science with useless believes. Why is a big deal to just look at the theory of evolution and see the holes it has? Why do you have to cling to a pseudo-scientific idea????
Lets take a view of the origins of man and the universe. Ok, so I believe in a being, unprovable by science, we can neith say he exists nor he doesn’t exist based on scientific conclusions. One thing we can do however is see that this universe has signatures of this inteligent being- therefore make our own conclusions, you say it’s from random chance, I say it’s from an orderly, intelligent, and moral being. Isn’t it better to look at this universe and conclude the it came from a intricate, complex and intelligent being? Than say it came from absurd, random, unlikely, and perhaps the stupidest way?
I mean, the more i think about it, I get angry at you people-so called scientists and rational minds!!!!! Why makes you believe that a complex world with life could come from the “primordial soup” where even did that primordial soup come from????????????????????????????????
When you answer that question, then conjure to answer where “oughts” came from in an “is” world??

One has a basis in science and is accepted as rational, logical and has supporting evidence (repeatable tests). One is the words of a bunch of people 2000+ years ago with no (hard, testable) evidence. No God in school, along with no teaching of other higher beings; leprechauns, druidism, witchcraft, Apollo, Zeus, Neptune, Santa Clause, toothfairy…

There was order, right and wrong long before Jesus and what is with this imaginary peace you talk about. Religion has brought no peace in the last 2000 years.
