Denmark: An EASY Place to Visit?

Check out this crazy ad.
Vivian Manning-Schaffel:The New York Times In Transit blog posted this You Tube promo hoax staged by Visit Denmark -- the Danish tourism board.
It features a hot blonde Dane introducing her baby as she wistfully recalls the night she met his father -- how he was a tourist who lost his friends, how they hooked up at the Custom House Bar, they went "down to the water to have a drink," went back to her place...yadda yadda yadda...18 months later, here's her cute kid and she's looking for his father on You Tube!
She says, "It's not that I blame you for everything, I'm not crazy or nor have I got some kind of obsession with you. I feel I owe it to both you and to him to let you know he exists. Also, I want to let you know that I'm not a bimbo or something like that." Mind you, she doesn't recall the name of this mystery baby daddy.
The New York Times In Transit blog goes on to say the Danish tourism board have since nixed the vid, and the director of Visit Denmark issued a press release with an apology, stating, "The goal was solely to bring about a positive awareness of Denmark."
Wow, talk about an easy place to visit! The only thing positive about the story in that ad was the pregnancy test.
On one hand, it's kind of genius. Millions of people, including us, are now talking about Denmark, right? That's the point, isn't it?
Then again, what on earth does this have to do with Denmark? Or better yet, what does it have to say to potential tourists about the women of Denmark?
Whadda ya know? If you're lucky, you too can get wasted and unwittingly spawn with a gorgeous tow-haired Dane! Just look what some lucky guy found at the Custom House bar! A great time! Without birth control! And a resulting son named August! And no names were even necessary!
What do you think of the ad? Funny or lame? Sexist or not?
