Walmart Tubby-Time Porn and Jaycee Dugard

How could Phillip Garrido get away with imprisoning Jaycee Dugard for 18 years and the parents who took those Walmart photos are tagged as possible sex offenders?

Momlogic's Momstrosity: Please tell me I'm dreaming.

Phillip Garrido, a man with a history of rape, is able to kidnap and hold as a sex slave 11-year-old Jaycee Dugard for 18 years, and father her two children while imprisoning her in a warren of ramshackle tents and lean-tos. Meanwhile, A.J. and Lisa Demaree get their names  placed on a sex offender registry because of some bath-time snaps they took of their three daughters.

Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with this picture.

Think about it: when neighbors complained that Garrido, a known sex offender, had girls camping out in his backyard, the cop who investigated the call didn't even go beyond Creepy Phil's porch.

Yet, when some photo flunky at Walmart calls the cops screaming child pornography, the Demarees get their kids taken into state care. WTF!

Can I please wake up now?

Thank you!! I keep thinking the same things! I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees the twistedness of this subject.

I find this all so weird because the real situation (for people who don’t make it into the news) is the exact opposite. Most child abuse is committed by family members, but the collective hysteria is totally focused on strangers, which is just much, much less likely.

Garrido should never have been released from prison in the first place.

I’m more surprised a Walmart employee actually was actually ‘working’.
