'Good Wife' Kid Star's Brush with Murderer!
Check out this nail-biter of a close call.
Vivian Manning-Schaffel: While staying at the Essex House (a luxury New York hotel) last week, Makenzie Vega, the 15-year-old actress who plays Julianna Margulies' kid in the new CBS show "The Good Wife," couldn't find her iPhone and suspected it got all twisted in sheets that were whisked off to housekeeping.
So she called housekeeping to try and find it, and believes Derrick Praileau, a man who allegedly stabbed and killed a 44-year-old woman during a violent rape an hour later just one floor below, answered the phone!
Makenzie told the New York Daily News that the murderer then invited her to the building's basement to look for her phone. Fortunately, she somehow had the wherewithal to pass. Even weirder? Her family actually recalls Praileau checking out their room for them last month!
That is some seriously scary shizz!
They heard nothing when the murder was going down. In the article, Makenzie says, "It's sad to know that she might have heard us, but we couldn't hear her when she needed us to."
If I were her mother, I'd be popping sedatives like Chiclets and all you'd smell is the smoke from our dust as we beat it out of there. But does that solve anything? It just goes to show that trouble can lurk anywhere, at any time.
Could you imagine if you discovered your daughter had a hairy interlude with a murderer? What would you do?
