'I Changed My Baby's Name'

Lena Corner named her son Ralph, then decided she made a mistake. So she changed it.

Lena Corner just couldn't come up with a name for her newborn.
It took her and her partner a full six weeks to come up with a name they could both agree on: Ralph.
But six months later, she realized she hated the name, and she cringed every time she heard it, reports The Guardian.
So she decided to change it to Huxley.
The legal process was easy -- but explaining to friends and family wasn't so smooth.
She says, "There were mutterings about me and the future identity crisis I was creating."
In a recent survey, as many as 10% of parents had considered changing their baby's name. Have you had baby name remorse? Comment below.
yup i sure have i wish i could remove one name all together and change his last name…just dont know how to go about it without it cost a fortune
No but between Ralph and Huxley, I think I would have stayed with Ralph.

I wish I had just named her Isa rather than Isabella (both pronounced with and ee sound rather than an I sound)
Not not really. I tried to spell his name differently and I kind of regret that but it doesn’t matter because most people spell it the traditional way anyhow.

Yes! Through my whole pregnancy I knew I was going to name my daughter Vaida, I even bought the letters to go on her wall…towards the end I fell in love with Baylee. Then 1 week after she was born I wished I had named her Addison. So I’ll just name a future pet Addie:)
Family friends changed their daughters name 3 times before they settled on one. They originally named her Bunny, then decided they didn’t like it, and came up with Hannah (or Haley…I can’t remember), and decided they didn’t like that either. They finally settled on Lauren when she was about 6 months old. She’s now 16 or so, and has no identity issues.
Ralph is an old man name. Huxley is just plain stupid!
Good call on changing that child’s name from Ralph. That’s almost as bad as naming a girl Mildred or Bertha.
I changed my mind at the last minute before both of my daughters were born. “Catherine” became Samantha instead, “Sydney” became Skylar.
A friend of mine has a dad named Elmer. His twin sister’s name is Zelmer. Poor things!
I meant to add that my brother has 2 middle names. My dad added his dad’s name, Frank, to the birth certificate while Mom was still loopy from sedation. My brother signs his name as F.B. Clay Lastname.
a relative named her baby “baby” until the little girl was old enough to choose her own name which she chose the name Star and went by Star or Starbaby, I always thought it was a little weird
My husband and I could not agree on a name for our youngest son. I gave him and named him Bradley Aaron like my husband wanted. But, I surely wish I had stuck to my gun and named him Chase Edward like I wanted. Now he is 14 and there is no way to go back now.
I’m sorry but Huxley?
Should have stuck with Ralph….
Our son Benjamin was “Carson” for 5 days before we realized that the name we had so carefully chosen for him before he was born just didn’t fit him! Benjamin was actually one of the names that was not even on the table before he was born, but he just… seemed like a Ben. We are happy (grateful even) that we didn’t stick with Carson. Carson is a great name, it just wasn’t right for us.

is huxley a real name?
aww i think huxley is cute u go girl ralph is also nice i like the name ron or ronny

Yes! We gave our son 2 middle names (named after his 2 great grandfathers that were tremendously important to my husband and I) which made his whole name very long plus a hard to pronounce last name! We’ve had (and have) our fair share of comments regarding it!
