Actor John Travolta told a court in the Bahamas that one of the paramedics treating his son Jett after he suffered a seizure threatened to sell stories to the press suggesting the movie star was at fault in the death of the 16-year-old.
Travolta testified that the paramedic, now charged with extortion, demanded $25 million from the actor.
The "Pulp Fiction" star told the court the two men on trial claimed they would use a document authorizing treatment of Jett on the scene to "imply that the death of my son was intentional and I was culpable in some way."
The two men have pleaded innocent.
