Middle School Bracelets Could Have Sexual Meaning

KCAL-9: A middle school in Lafayette asked students to leave their bracelets at home before coming to school, CBS station KCNC-TV reported.

The principal of Angevine Middle School e-mailed parents on Thursday, warning them about rumors on the internet that bracelets carry sexual meanings.

He said his staff talked with some students about the bracelets "hidden meanings" and decided they are becoming a distraction to the learning environment.

For years, teens have been playing a game called Snap, in which boys try to break bracelets off girls. Different colored bracelets represent different sexual acts, which if broken, are supposed to be performed by the girls.

Well, this seems like a good game to play until we look at these three points:

1. Urbandictionary does not know of its existance, meaning it does not exist

2. After MUCH looking on the internet, I was able to find 3 different codes on what the colors mean. Each one has a different meaning for each color. This means that each snap would probably end in an hourlong discussion between the two kids on whether or not the Edwardian or the Kaiserin color code was the one in use.

3. Girls are not going to just have sex with ANY boy just because they snapped a bracelet.

And if you look in a mirror & yell bloody mary three times she’s appear & rip off your face. Bracelets rings whatever have no hidden mean. Obviously there may be some cases of it I’m sure the email & this article will help start one if it hasn’t already begun & I can’t deny that boys or even girls have things with hidden meanings or related to sex but to assume bracelets are that is insane. Unless it’s a really weak bracelet its would more likely hurt the wrist which even broken likely wouldnt help the girl like the guy anymore then she already did. You have a better chance that the bracelet was given by a boyfriend who yes she might have been with but not because of conquests…. so stupid.

wow, children’s using figurative ways to express theirself. how dangerous way to act !!

More seriously, I will be more afraid to see my girls wearing another kind of bracelets I heard about, ana bracelets are sold all around the net to promote anorexia “culture” :(

I heard a similar story years ago. It wasn’t a game for guys to snap the bracelets off, but wearing certain colors meant that’s what the girl was willing to do sexually. So one color was for blow job, another for intercourse, another for french kiss, etc etc etc. It doesn’t surprise me and doesn’t mean that the girl is willing to do that act with any boy that asks, it may be limited to the boyfriend du jour. Either way I would not allow my daughter to wear them.
