WSBV: A mother with her toddler in tow is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase.

Police released the dashcam video to Channel 2 Action News.

Deputies said they pulled over the minivan, driven by Endie Rae Brumbelow, moments after getting a call about a shoplifter assaulting workers at a Hiram Wal-Mart.

Brumbelow sped down the highway, ran off the road, and eventually crashed in downtown Dallas. Police said that was when they realized a 3-year-old girl was also in the vehicle.

"They were attempting to get in position a couple of times to look inside the vehicle at a couple of intersections to see if they could confirm whether or not there was a child inside and at no point where they able to see if there was a child," said Cpl. Brandon Gurley with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

"Well, I was quite stunned...that someone for a simple shoplifting would risk their child's life to get away from the police," said witness Sherri Richardson. "I'm thinking, why on earth would a grown woman who is a parent be that reckless with their own child?"

Brumbelow, 25, is currently in the Paulding County Jail without bond.

The toddler is with her father.

Brumbelow is charged with shoplifting, simple battery, cruelty to children and multiple counts of reckless driving.
