Now you don't have to go all the way to Florida for the Nickelodeon experience.

Momlogic's Julie: I don't know about you, but my kids have been BEGGING and BEGGING to go to the Nickelodeon Family Suites in Orlando. Every time they see the commercial, they beg to get slimed. But I live in California, and right now I just can't afford to fly cross-country for that privilege. And now I don't have to!

Marriott has teamed up with Nickelodeon to host the Nickelodeon Getaway Program at select JW Marriott Resorts. We went to the one in Phoenix, Arizona (a lot closer than Florida!), and had the best time ever.

First off, the resort is gorgeous. It has a lazy river and water slide, which was really fun for everyone.

My kids (age 8 and 5) got to have a character breakfast with Dora and Spongebob, and enjoyed one-on-one time with their favorite characters.

We went to a poolside Nickelodeon show, and I was recruited to play the "Pie on Your Butt" game, where my son pushed pies on my borrowed shorts and I had to scrape them into a bucket without using my hands. The kids loved that!

We got to watch "dive-in" pool moves and do crafts, too. They keep the kids completely entertained. They even offered a kids' camp (for an additional fee) so Mom and Dad could have some private time to ourselves.

And, best of all, the kids' dream came true: They got slimed! And I didn't have to fork over airfare for four to Orlando this year! Everybody wins.

The Nickelodeon Getaway package starts at $169 a night. For what you get, I'd say that's a steal!
