Nicole and Joel have just announced the birth of their son on their website.
Born on a very lucky day, 7 lb 14 oz Sparrow James Midnight Madden made his way into the world early this morning.
The couple already has a 1-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Harlow Winter Kate.
Before giving birth, the 27-year-old Richie told People magazine, "We're very, very blessed. We've already had one healthy kid, and that's all you can ask for as a parent -- healthy kids."
Congrats to the new mom and dad!

‘Sparrow James Midnight Madden’ has the same speech rhythm as Bishop Don Magic Juan.
SO what did Nicole Richie & Joel Madden REALLY name their new “Fly Boy” Sparrow??
Well – based on his 1st two names, “Sparrow James” will be shrewd, assertive, stubborn, really smart & privileged. His last 2 names “Midnight Madden” will make him daring, social, excessively curious – he’ll be taking apart the XBOX 360 in no time. He’ll also be EXTREMELY observant – his parents will never be able to catch his hosting awesome parties – I’m betting that the partiers will be gone & the house will be cleaned at LEAST 3 minutes before his parents get home.
I think it’s interesting that both brother & sister “Harlow” have “ar” and “ow” in their 1st name. These characteristics will make them BOTH very talkative, boisterous, smart and opinionated. Nicole & Joel better invest in some ear plugs & hone up on their history & math skills, ‘cause these whiz kids are going to be tough to keep up with!
