Pennsylvania Boy, 6, Fatally Shot While Playing With Gun

Fox News: A 6-year-old boy has been fatally shot after neighbors said he and a friend were playing with a gun in central Pennsylvania.
New Holland police say it happened shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday on a farm in Earl Township.
Authorities are not releasing the boy's name, or saying who fired the gun. The Lancaster County coroner says an autopsy will be performed Tuesday.
Police Chief John Yost says that because of the circumstances of the death he can't release any specific details.
District Attorney Craig Stedman also says he can't comment.

Obviously the safest thing would have been if BOTH children had guns. Then the boy who was shot would have been able to deter his friend with the threat of return fire!
Not to make light of tragedy; but this is precisely the “logic” of the 2nd amendment nutters. More guns = safer.
Sad story, but it is entirely predictable that this will continue to happen. Greatest nation on Earth, though! Yeah!

Why don’t parents have their guns lock awayin a safe out of reach from their children. We have a gun in the housein safe it our bedroom closet. Our boys know its there and know that its real and that it can hurt then or someone else.my husband uses it for work. We never had a problem.
