The shoe designer's recent comments have created controversy.
Shoe designer Christian Louboutin is designing a Barbie for her 50th anniversary. But he made waves this week when his spokesperson was quoted as saying that Louboutin found Barbie's ankles to be "too fat" to wear his shoes.
Great. Now BARBIE is fat? No wonder our kids have eating disorders!
The company said that it was just a misunderstanding and released a statement, saying: "My dear friend, Christian loves my ankles. It was my arch that he wanted to give a little lift to, so I can rock those high heels." Nice back-pedaling!
Christian's "fat" remark brings to mind Karl Lagerfield's recent boneheaded statement about showcasing curvy women on the runway: "It's absurd. No one wants to see curvy women. You've got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying thin models are ugly."
What's with these designers? We wish they would just shut their big FAT mouths!

Real men like real women with curves. Women are not built like prepubescent boys and it seems that those designers have never known a real women[in the biblical sense].
If we let those “designers’ dictate what we should look like we will all end up as anorexic, helpless and shapeless sticks with vacant dead gazes,wearing ever more ludicrous expensive outfits tripping over our own feet.
I could care less what these designers say, my real husband loves my real curves!
What’s funny is that people say, “No wonder people are anorexic” when in fact, most of America are fat!! Including young people, very sad.
Why would we listen to these guys, and worse, accord them respect by obediently buying their stuff? If we don’t want to hear these men spout their worthless opinions, we should stop buying their cr*p, both literally and figuratively. I’m tired of fashion trying to impose its ridiculous reign of terror on me.

Designers don’t care if you don’t buy their clothing or hate them. Maybe we should be more concerned about our own lives and not about what strangers think.
