TLC Slams Jon as He Tries to Stop 'Kate Plus 8'

He says no production crews can enter the family home.

Days after TLC dumped him from "Jon and Kate Plus 8," Jon Gosselin has demanded through his lawyers that the show cease production immediately.

"Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon's family home for any reason," a letter from his attorney to TLC says. "In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers."

A sloppily written sign full of misspellings on Jon's property reads: "Notice: No film crew or production staff from TLC is permitted on this property under penelty [sic] of trespass." Jon Gosselin's name appears at the end of the notice -- apparently misspelled.

Jon's manager tells "Extra" that they have indeed sent a cease and desist order to TLC to try and stop taping the show. "He's been trying to stop the show for a while now," the manager said, adding, "He wants to get his private life with his family back. The kids have been complaining. He doesn't feel that the show is necessary anymore."

TLC has issued a statement, slamming the dad of eight. "We are aware of Jon Gosselin's recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin's repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents."

Now Mark Jay Heller, Jon Gosselin's lawyer, has issued the following response:

"As legal counsel for Jon Gosselin, I am totally confident that he will be completely successful in his quest to take back control of his family and preserve, protect and ensure their future well-being by putting the brakes on his divorce and pulling the plug on TLC, the media giant that he perceives as a monster that has exploited and manipulated his family and has been partially responsible for the breakdown of his marriage. Jon is resolved not to allow the TLC Corporate machine to devour his family and promote the monster's best interests over those of his family. TLC and Discovery have been reputed to have generated approximately $186 million dollars for the quarter - compliments of the Gosselin Family, and Jon firmly believes that their greed to continue that cash flow will be trumped by his courage and determination to protect his family."

Had he done this a couple seasons ago, I’d applaud him. Now it smacks of sour-grapes and of being a complete d-bag.

who cares about what his motives were.. its true the family is living a real life trainwreck. Im not of fan of either parent but its been said over and over again, these two need to press the brakes on their circus show and focus on their family

I use to love watching the show with my younger daughter and she would just love watching the kids. But you can tell over the years Kate was getting to much into herself she use to have her freinds and family around, then her and Jon now it’s just her. She needs to foucs more on her kids and less on her image.

Give me a break, Kate will be so much better without him. He’s a loser!! The only reason why he did this was because he was cut from the show. His behavior has shown complete disregard for his children!!! If he cared so much, he wouldn’t be globe trotting around the world with his ho’s..way to care about your kids!! Hey John, learn how to spell!!! You spelled penalty wrong in your sign. WHAT A TOOL!!!

Both parents are losers & so is TLC if they don’t drop that contract and let the Gosslins be a normal, disfunctional family. I’m sure Kate is afraid if even a week goes by without filming, the people still watching her trainwreck will find something better to watch, such as a documentary on the history of mud. She may have to get a real job one day, gasp.

Thank God! If you watched the show at all, Jon wanted to quit a long time ago, and Kate was the one that said “the show must go on”… BEFORE all the divorce rumors started! I think Jon has always had his kids best interest in heart, Kate is a terrible parent whos greed has lost her everything that really matters, FAMILY!! Her parents, and her siblings, and now Jon. I think Jon is probably so happy to be free that it has clouded his vision, but I dont feel that he ever put himself before the kids… ever. All of this just needs to GO AWAY! Especially Kate!

I can’t decide who is the worst here. TLC, for continuing this joke of a show that is destroying these kids. Kate - for play acting that she is so boo hoo sad. Get this show off the air and someone just shut this woman up!! What an insult to moms everywhere. She is disgusting.

Oh Kate!! Your such a horrible mama!! You want to give your children a better life by getting money through a TLC show which millions watch. Oh my goodness!!! Now you can afford a better home and wait you can put them through college because a nurse and IT analyst could have paid for it all without putting themselves in huge debt. oh let’s not forget the Duggar family, they are exploiting all 18 kids for financial gain. Opps, I forget she’s pregnant again. So make that 19 children exploited. Oh, let’s not forget the Roloff family, their trying to make a buck too off their children back. Give me a break!! My question to all you moms out there that are talking bad about Kate, Would you turn down a show if you got offered one esp. if you had that many kids? Second, do you watch any of these shows? If so, you helped contribute to the exploitation of these children by contributing to the rating to keep the show on.

I’m not crazy about Kate, but I like her a Hell of a lot better than Jon! WTH is wrong with this guy??first of all, if he hated being verbally “abused” by Kate for 10 YEARS, he should have done something about it a long time ago! And forget about that, staying for the kids, crap. Two miserable parents do not make happy children. It’s all VERY transparent when you say one week, that you despise your wife, and love your girlfriend more than you ever loved her, and then the next week you want to try and work it out. OH! But that’s only AFTER TLC refused to support your sorry a$$. Let’s hope Kate’s not as naive as you expect the rest of the world to be.

Jon, You are just pathetic. I think you need to go and leave the kids and Kate alone. You have ruined your self-image by your inexcusable behavior. If it had not been for Kate you would be pedalling yourself and not being able to financially take care of your family. Kate has been the backbone of this family and was looking out for the future of her children. I am sure she could see the writing on the wall with your inability to be a father and look out for your children financially. You go Kate!

Jon, do you see the gate that that sign is posted on? Look inside. See all that land and the huge house? How do you suppose that you were able to buy it? Oh yeah, you had a show on TLC!!! Do you think you could have bought it with your “real job?” And speaking of that real job, wasn’t one of the reasons you gave for not wanting to do the show any more that you didn’t want to stay home any more and wanted to get a “real job.” What happened? You don’t seem to have one after all these months. I have heard both you and Kate say that the house belongs to the kids. (You said it when you first bought the house - before all the drama started.) So it it is theirs, why do you have the right to ban the cameras. And if you don’t let them do the show, who is going to pay for their big house? And, by the way, my ex ran away with a 19-year-old when he was 35, leaving me to raise our kids on my own (without benefit of my own TV show!). Shortly thereafter, the little girl dumped him and he wanted to come back. Guess what? It was too late! (And, yes, it is a midlife crisis you are going through!)

I’m not on either parent’s side — they are both idiots. I am for the kids and I think the show is bad for them. They need to grow up like normal kids! not media freeks

First of all, A Mom Supporter, are you an English speaking person? If so, did you pay attention in school? You even spelled “oops”wrong!! And, had you done your homework regarding the reality TV families, you would know that the Duggars started their family long before the first “reality show” so I really don’t think that was their motivation. They also were able to support themselves before they had a show. They built their big house with their own hands. They “buy used and save the difference.” (I also don’t think the Gosselins had 8 children in order to get a TV show.) And the Rolloffs have a successful farm and had a big house before their TV show. So in their cases, the income from the TV show is gravy. And one more note to Jon: Do you have a spell check? It is PENALTY!!!
