PiscesMom Puts Kid in Box on Top of Van and Drives Off
Associated Press: ALBERTVILLE, Ala. -- Don't try this at home. Or on the highway.
An Alabama woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police say she let her daughter ride in a cardboard box on top of their van.
Albertville Police spokesman Sgt. Jamie Smith said the 37-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after police received a call from an alarmed driver who reported seeing a minivan driving down a state highway with a child riding on top.
Smith said Jackie Denise Knott told police the box was too big to go inside the van, and that she told her daughter to get inside the box to hold it down.
Smith said the mother told officers it was safe because she had the box secured to the van with a clothes hanger.
The 13-year-old daughter wasn't harmed and was turned over to a relative.
A jail worker said the mother was released after posting bond yesterday.

This lady is a macadamia….you know she thought it was a good idea at the time….just know that I live in Alabama and my child is ALWAYS in the backseat in his carseat….we don’t all act like hillbilly rednecks.

Unbelievable.
A year ago, I would have been 100x more shocked. However, after a recent visit to Guatemala, this doesn’t horrify me nearly as much. After watching dozens of cars fly by on the highways there with kids as you as toddlers alone in the back of the pickup, I still can’t get over absurdity and danger of it.
This is why parents & their children, brothers & sisters, and 1st cousins should never ever EVER have children with each other!
