I've heard and read many different opinions about when to start feeding solid foods to my baby.
- Most babies are ready to start solid foods between 4 and 6 months of age, beginning with baby cereal and followed by pureed veggies, fruits, and meats. Every baby is different, so these are guidelines to give you an idea of when to start planning for solid foods. Your baby will let you know when he's ready.
- At first, your baby may not like solid foods, but keep trying!
- Also, it's wonderful to give your baby a home-cooked meal, but don't worry if you're too busy. It's okay to buy healthy, pre-packaged foods. Just remember to check the nutrition labels first.
